MAP :-

Introduction :-Bhojpuri is spoken by 37.8 million people in India, in the western part of the state of Bihar and eastern part of the state of Uttar Pradesh and some adjoining areas of Madhya Pradesh Currently it is not an official language, but the government of India is considering changing its status to that of a national scheduled language. Despite its unofficial status, Bhojpuri is used in government and mass media.

Bhojpuri is an Indo-Aryan language spoken in the Bhojpuri region of North India and in Madhesh, Nepal.

History:-

Uttar Pradesh is one of the ancient cradles of Indian culture. It is the rainbow land where the multi-hued Indian culture has blossomed from times immemorial. Blessed with a variety of geographical and cultural diversities, Uttar Pradesh has been the area of activity for historical and modern heroes alike.Blessed by Ganges and Yamuna, the two revered rivers of Indian mythology, Uttar Pradesh is bound by Bihar in the east, Madhya Pradesh in the south, Rajasthan, Delhi, Himachal Pradesh and Haryana in the west and Nepal together with Uttaranchal, bifurcated from UP in 2000, in the north. It is the fourth largest State in India

Types Of Bhojpuri Folk Literature :-Folk dances :-Dances of the Bhojpuri region include Nautanki , Kathak, Ramlila, Krishnalila

Kathak (Hindi: कथक), one of the eight forms of Indian classical dances, originated from India, known as Kathakars or storytellers. Basely Its form Northern and Western India. today contains traces of temple and ritual dances, and the influence of the bhakti movement. Now days we can see Kathak. Kerala, Andhra Pradesh, Odisha, ect.

Kathak :-

Festivals :-Among the major festivals celebrated are Chhath Puja, Tihar or Diwali, Navraat, Dasahara, Ramnavami, Shivraat, Sekraat (Khichdi), Bara din (Big day), Naya saal (New year) and many other festivals.

CHHATH PUJA :-Chhath is an ancient Hindu Vedic festival historically native to eastern Uttar Pradesh, North Bihar of India. Chhath puja has a great significant in the Hindu religion and it is assumed that the oldest Purohits were requested by the kings to come and perform the traditional puja of the Lord Sun.

FOODS & SWEET :-

Litti along with chokha is a complete meal originated and popular in Indian state of Bihar and Uttar Pradesh of  Madhya Pradesh. is a dough ball made up of whole wheat flour and stuffed with Sattu.

The food specialties in Uttar Pradesh are wide, ranging in variety, taste and flavour. Different cities have their own styles of preparing the strong flavoured food items. This is Some items Name Like. Puri – Aloo, Kachori, litti and chokha.LITTI AND CHOKHA :-

Writing System:-From 16th century until the mid 20th century Bhojuri was written with the Kaithi script, and also with the Perso-Arabic script. The Kaithi script is still used to a limited extent today, though Devanāgarī is more common and has been used in official documents since 1894
