Buttercream. Usingasmallserratedknifecutthetopsoffof
6cupcakes.Cutthesetopsinhalftoformtwosemicircles.
Spreadaspoonfuloficingononesemicircleandplacethe
otherhalfontop.Adherethistothetopofanuncutcupcake
withadotoficing.Ifdesired,pealthepaperoffofthe
bottomhalfofthecutcupcakeandusingaserratedknife
carvethecylindricalformintoahemisphere.Adheretothe
toptoanuncutcupcakewithadotoficing.Ifyouchooseto
onlyusethecupcaketopsyouwillyield12decorated

bisectingthebrain.
5. Pipesquigglylinesalloveronesideofthechocolateline. Todothisplacethepastryconesoit
justskimsthesurfaceofthecupcake,squeezeand
holdinplaceuntilasmallballformsthenmovethe
bagrandomlyaroundthesurfaceofthecupcakeso
thatthelinenevercompletelyoverlapsitself,but
alwaystouchesitself(sothatnocakeshowsthrough).
ThispipingapplicationisavariationonCornellilace.
