General Configuration Principles A MBTS working in dual modes, is logically presented

as BTS and NodeB. Configuring the BTS data and

NodeB data, respectively. Bounding BTS and NodeB

together to identify a physical device entity

If a MBTS works in combined module mode and

carriers of G/U share an RF module, you need to

allocate the carriers on the G/U sides to the RF

boards

The common device data needs to be configured

and kept consistent on both the GSM and UMTS

Configuration Scenarios Working in single mode

Working only in GSM mode and using the MRFU/MRRU

module

Working only in UMTS mode and using the MRFU/MRRU

module

Working in dual mode Working in combined cabinet mode, using the non-MRRU

(non-MRFU) module, and working in the G/U mode

respectively

Working in combined module mode. An MRFU/MRRU supports

both the GSM and UMTS modes
