Palazzo Dandolo Parisi

Getting from the airport to Palazzo DandoloThe Apartment is in Calle del Traghetto, San Polo 2879. The closest Vaporetto (water-bus) stop is San Tomà. Palazzo Dandolo is the first gate on your left.

There are three different ways to get to the apartment:

1) Expensive and comfortable (120 € minimum) Get a water-taxi to drop you at the San Tomà Vaporetto stop. 2) Reasonable A water-bus, Alilaguna Arancio (timetable: http://www.alilaguna.it/it/linea-arancio/orario) (16 €) leaves from the airport every 30 minutes. It goes to Sant’Angelo. There you must cross the Grand Canal catching Vaporetto (waterbus) line 1, direction San Marco Lido. San Tomà is the first stop.

3) Affordable (6 € + 7 €) Get the blue shuttle bus (6 €) or the ACTV orange bus Line 5 (6 €) from the airport to Venezia Piazzale Roma. There is a vaporetto (waterbus) leaving every 12 minutes from Piazzale Roma (line 1, direction San Marco - Lido). Get off at San Tomà. You may also catch Line 2 from a different stop in Piazzale Roma, but make sure that it doesn’t end at Rialto, otherwise you must get off and change to Line 1.Waterbus timetable: http://www.actv.it/en/movinginvenice/waterbusservicetimetable

Waterbus pass (iMob)The iMob card (40€) allows you to travel on the vaporetti at a reduced rate. It is available directly from the VELA office (Piazzale Roma). You must fill a form, pick up a number and then show your passport. You then may buy the monthly pass (abbonamen-to, 30€) or tickets which will cost € 1,30 (instead of € 7) or 10 tickets for € 11

VaporettiThese boats are the big water-buses that travel along the Canal Grande. The #1 makes every stop while the #2 is faster, stopping at the more principle locations. Tickets can be purchased at some stops before you get on board or at tabacchi (newspaper stands). At these places you can also buy one-week tickets. The flat-rate one way fare is 7 €. To take a Vaporetto across the canal (one stop) there is a reduced fare.

Traghetti These boats are large gondolas that carry people across the Canal Grande at various locations. They cost 2,50 €.

GondoleThe cost of a gondola ride is 80€ for 40 minutes for up to six passengers. The price rises after 8pm and you pay around 20 € extra for each additional 25 minutes. It is better to establish the price before your ride and take a boat from one of the official gondola stands.

Water Taxis These are the motor boats that speed through the canals (and also erode the foundations of the buildings). Their rates vary but start out around the fee of 60 €If you are not well... Dottoressa TRAMBUSTI has her office on the other side of the Grand Canal, in San Marco 3423 (close to the S. Angelo gondola traghetto, or Vaporetto stop Line 1 Sant’Angelo). Her office hours are:

Visits cost (30€). You can contact her at: 041 522-3538
