MANAGEMENT MODULE
Primavera was launched in 1983 by Primavera Systems Inc. and was
acquired by Oracle Corporationin 2008. The latest version of Primavera is
8.3 of Primavera P6 Enterprise Project Portfolio Management
The Project Management module enables us organization to store and
manage its projects in a central location. The module supports workbreakdown structures (WBS), organizational breakdown structures (OBS),
user-defined fields and codes, critical-path-method (CPM) scheduling, and
resource leveling.

in real-time.User benefits Automatically retrieves the information from the quotes/cost estimates programs;
Tracks down to the smallest detail the execution stage of the works and the
settlements, and allows comparing the execution stage to the initial planning
Provides information about the project progress stages as tables and Gantt
charts
Tracks, coordinates and corrects by scenario method
Provides real-time information for fast and objective decisions;
Builds "What If"-type analyses.

Cost benefits
Ensures features for risk
management, documentmanagement or alerting in case of
exceeding the costs, terms or time;
Analyzes the contractors'
performance via economic efficiency
indicators (Earned Value and ROI-
type analyses) Makes available completely
assessed terms, costs and
resources;
Automatically matches the spent item
quantities to the work's physical
stage (the payments can be done
depending on the achievements).
Decreases the project execution time
by 22-27% and achieves a savings of

2.1 OBS (Organizational Breakdown Structure)
The organizational breakdown structure (OBS)
is a global hierarchy that represents the
managers responsible for the projects in
enterprise.
The OBS usually reflects the management
structure of organization, from top-level
personnel down through the various levels
constituting your business. We can associate the responsible managers
with their areas of the EPS either nodes or
individual projects.
Structure of the organization, from top-level
personnel down through the various levels.
Constraints: Maximum of 25 levels can becreated.
Maximum character length of an OBS element
is 100.

2.2 EPS (Enterprise Project Structure)
EPS create/edit form :
The Enterprise Project Structure (EPS) forms the hierarchical structure of your database of projects.
Each EPS node (or folder) can be subdivided into multiple levels to represent the work that needs to be
done in your organization. The number of levels and their structure depend on the scope of your projects
and how you want to summarize data.
Perform top down budgeting. Organize OBS and WBS into one common structure.
Manage multiple projects.
Adding project to EPS hierarchy. We can organize unlimited number of Projects in EPS in groups.

2.3 Creating Calendars
Create and assign calendars to each
resource and each activity. These
calendars define the available work-hours
in each calendar day. We can also specifynational holidays, your organization's
holidays, project-specific work/non-
workdays, and resource vacation days.
Calendar assignments are used for
activity scheduling, tracking, and resource
leveling.
Global: Contains calendar that apply to all
projects.
Resource: Separate pool of calendars for
each resource.
Project: Separate pool of calendars for
each project.

2.4 WBS (Work Breakdown Structure)
A WBS is a hierarchy of
work that must be
accomplished to completea project, which defines a
product or service to be
produced.
The WBS is structured in
levels of work detail, beginning with the
deliverable itself, and is
then separated into
identifiable work elements.
Maximum of 50 levels are
available.
Activities are fundamental
work elements of a project.
They are the lowest level of
Work Breakdown Structure.

Project schedule can be calculatedone of two ways: when we choosethe Scheduling command or eachtime we make a change that affectsschedule dates.
The Critical Path Method (CPM)scheduling technique is used tocalculate project schedules. CPMuses activity durations andrelationships between activities tocalculate the project schedule.

Objective
Problem statement:
Plan college admissions drive SNAP-IT with SCMHRD.
What is SNAP-IT:
Pan India drive to boost SCMHRD applications and clear aspirant doubts &
queries regarding SNAP & SCMHRD.
Objective:
To enumerate and logically arrange all the activities required for SNAP-ITin a Work Breakdown Structure (WBS), along with resources and
responsibilities assigned to each of those.
Approach:
Using Primavera
Prepare OBS> Create WBS> Create activities and assign to WBS> Assign
Relationships between activities> Assign Resources & Responsibilities
