symmetrical products. The most often occurring defects of rotarily formed drawpieces have been discussed
and so has the influence of the technological process parameters on their presence, as well as various kinds
of tool motions. The methodology of trajectory designing and kinds of working motions of rollers occurring
in the process of rotary forming of drawpieces have also been described.

1. WSTĘP Do róŜnych metod kształtowania obroto-
wego zalicza się procesy, które umoŜliwiają
kształtowanie wyrobów osiowosymetrycznych.
Wspólną cechą wszystkich metod kształtowa-
nia obrotowego, są rodzaje narzędzi robo-
czych, do których zaliczamy:
- wzornik,
- rolki kształtujące,
- dociskacz.
Materiał jest kształtowany w jednym lub
w kilku przejściach rolki. Wyroby wykonywa-
ne metodą kształtowania obrotowego mają,
w porównaniu do tłoczenia, wiele zalet, m.in.:
• kształtowanie materiału rolką następuje przy
znacznie mniejszych siłach,
• wyroby mają wyŜsze własności wytrzyma-
łościowe.
1. INTRODUCTION
Rotary forming comprises processes which
allow for forming axisymmetrical products.
A common feature of all the rotary forming
methods are the kinds of tools which include:
- mandrel,
- forming rollers,
- blankholder.
The material is formed in one or more passes
of the roller. Compared to products made
by stamping, the ones made by the method
of rotary forming have many advantages,
including:
● material forming by a roller is effected with
much less forces,
● the products have higher strength proper-
ties.

2. KLASYFIKACJA PROCESÓW KSZTAŁ-TOWANIA OBROTOWEGO
Ze względu na ciągły postęp w dziedzinie
plastycznego kształtowania obrotowego metali
poszerza się klasyfikacja procesów technolo-
gicznych w tym zakresie. Kształtowanie obro-
towe obejmuje grupę następujących procesów:
• wyoblanie,
• zgniatanie obrotowe,
• kształtowanie hybrydowe (mieszane).
W procesie wyoblania grubość ścianki
wyrobu pozostaje prawie taka sama, natomiast
podczas zgniatania obrotowego następuje za-
mierzona redukcja grubości ścianki. Kształto-
wanie hybrydowe jest procesem którym wystę-
pują cechy zarówno procesu zgniatania jak
i procesu wyoblania. KaŜdy z wymienionych
procesów moŜe odbywać się takŜe na zimno
i na gorąco.
Proces kształtowania obrotowego na gorąco
moŜe odbywać się z:
• podgrzewaniem laserowym,
• podgrzewaniem palnikami,
• podgrzewaniem strumieniem gorącego
powietrza.
Propozycję klasyfikacji procesów kształtowa-
nia obrotowego z uwzględnieniem nowych
procesów przedstawiono na rys. 1 [1].
2. CLASSIFICATION OF THE ROTARY
FORMING PROCESSES
Due to continuous progress in the field
of rotary plastic forming of metals, the classifi-
cation of technological processes in that scope
is growing broader. Rotary forming comprises
the following group of processes:
• metal spinning,
• flow forming,
• hybrid ( mixed) forming.
In the metal spinning process, the product wall
thickness remains the same; in flow forming
the wall thickness is intentionally reduced.
Hybrid forming reveals the features of both
the extrusion process and the spinning process.
Each of the processes under discussion can
be performed in the cold and hot state.
Hot rotary forming process can be effected
with:
• laser heating,
• heating by burners,
• heating by a stream of hot air.
A proposal of rotary forming processes classi-
fication incorporating new processes can
be found in fig. 1. [1]

3. SCHEMAT PROCESU WYOBLANIA
Na rys. 2 przedstawiono zasadę procesu
wyoblania. Na początku procesu krąŜek blachy
(3) jest umieszczony na kołku centrującym (5).
Następnie dociskacz (6) przesuwa się do mate-
riału wyjściowego który zostaje zaciśnięty po-
między wzornikiem (2) a dociskaczem(6). Po
uruchomieniu maszyny wrzeciono (1), na któ-
rym zainstalowany jest wzornik (2) obraca się
razem z materiałem (3) i dociskaczem (6). Na-
stępnie rolki wyoblające (4), dociskane do ob-
racającego się krąŜka blachy, kształtują stop-
niowo materiał na wzorniku.
3. SPINNING PROCESS DIAGRAM
In fig. 2, the principle of the metal spin-
ning process is shown. At the beginning of the
process, a sheet metal disk (3) is located
on the centering pin (5). Then, the blankholder
(6) moves to the initial material which is
clamped between the mandrel (2) and the
blankholder (6). When the machine is started,
the spindle (1), on which the templet (2) is in-
stalled, rotates together with the material (3)
and the blankholder (6). Then the spinning
rollers (4), pressed to the rotating sheet disk
gradually form the material on the mandrel.

4. WPŁYW PARAMETRÓW TECHNO-LOGICZNYCH NA PROCES WYO-BLANIA
W procesie wyoblania jest wiele czynni-
ków, które wpływają na przebieg procesu
kształtowania materiału.
Na przebieg procesu wyoblania mają
wpływ następujące parametry: prędkość obro-
towa wzornika, prędkość posuwu rolki, śred-
nica rolki, promień roboczy rolki, geometria
narzędzi, liczba przejść narzędzia, grubość
i średnica krąŜka blachy.
4. INFLUENCE OF THE TECHNOLOGI-
CAL PARAMETERS ON THE SPINNING
PROCESS
Material forming in the process of metal
spinning is influenced by many factors.
The process proceeding is under the influ-
ence of the following parameters: the rota-
tional speed of the mandrel, roller travel speed,
roller diameter, working radius of the roller,
tool geometry, number of tool passes, the sheet
disk thickness and diameter.

4.1. Prędkość obrotowa wzornika
Zwiększenie prędkości obrotowej wzorni-
ka - n, przy niezmiennych pozostałych parame-
trach, poprawia jakość powierzchni, zmniejsza
chropowatość, zmniejsza odchyłkę okrągłości
wyrobu oraz zmniejsza siły potrzebne do
kształtowania. Zwiększenie obrotów zmniejsza
tendencje do fałdowania materiału, ale powo-
duje większe pocienienie i zwiększa prawdo-
podobieństwo pękania materiału.
Obroty wzornika - n dobiera się wg następują-
cego wzoru [2]:
Dn
320000~9500=
gdzie:
D – średnica krąŜka blachy.
Z równania wynika Ŝe, istnieje duŜy zakres
wyboru wielkości obrotów wzornika. Na przy-
kład zakładając średnice krąŜka φ100 mm,
prędkość obrotowa wzornika mieści się w gra-
nicach od 95 do 3200 obr/min-1
.
4.2. Posuw rolki roboczej
Wpływ posuwu rolki roboczej - p na pro-
ces kształtowania przy niezmiennych pozosta-
łych parametrach jest znaczny. Zmniejszenie
posuwu poprawia te same parametry co zwięk-
szenie obrotów wzornika i równieŜ wpływa na
wzrost pocienienia ścianki. Jednak wpływ tego
parametru na proces kształtowania jest większy
niŜ w przypadku prędkości obrotowej, gdyŜ
jego zmiana tylko o 20% ma juŜ istotny
wpływ.
4.3. Promień roboczy rolki
Dobór odpowiedniego promienia rolki - R
jest bardzo waŜny. Przy określaniu promienia
rolki naleŜy brać pod uwagę: rodzaj materiału,
grubość oraz wielkość krąŜka. Dla materiałów
trudno odkształcalnych i grubszych stosuje się
mniejszy promień. Mały promień rolki powo-
duje większe pocienienie ścianki. Większy
promień naleŜy stosować dla materiałów o do-
brych właściwościach tłocznych np. DC04,
aluminium 1050A.
4.1. Rotational speed of the mandrel
Increase of the mandrel rotational speed –
n, with other parameters unchanged, improves
the surface quality, reduces roughness, reduces
the product roundness deviation and reduces
the forces necessary for forming. Speed in-
crease reduces the tendency to material corru-
gation, but causes more thinning and increases
the probability of material cracking
The mandrel speed – n, is selected according
to the following formula [2]:
Dn
320000~9500=
where:
D – the sheet disk diameter.
The equation indicates that there is a large
range of the mandrel speed to be selected.
For example, assuming the disk diameter
of φ100 mm, the mandrel speed is within
the limits of 95 to 3200 rpm.
4.2. Working roller travel
The influence of the roller travel – p,
on the forming process, with the other parame-
ters unchanged, is significant. Reduction
of the travel improves the same parameters
as the increase of the mandrel rpm and also
influences the wall thinning increase. However,
this parameter influences the process of for-
ming more than the rotational speed: its altera-
tion of 20% has a significant influence.
4.3. Working radius of the roller
The selection of the adequate radius
of the roller, R, is very important. When deter-
mining the roller radius, one should consider:
the kind of material, the disk thickness and size.
For hard-to-deform and thicker materials,
smaller radius is applied. Smaller roller radius
gives more thinning of the wall. Larger radius
should be used for materials with good
drawability properties, e.g. DC04, 1050A alu-
minum.

Stosowanie większego promienia rolki popra-
wia jakość powierzchni oraz zmniejsza owali-
zacje wyrobu. Zalecany promień roboczy rolki
wynosi [2]:
R = (0,012÷0,05)D
gdzie:
D – średnica krąŜka blachy.
4.4. Średnica rolki wyoblającej
Wielkość średnicy rolki - Dr nie ma bezpo-
średniego związku z powstawaniem wad wy-
tłoczki. Dobór średnicy rolki odbywa się na
podstawie wzoru empirycznego zapewniający
odpowiednią prędkość obrotową rolki, która
nie moŜe przekroczyć granicznych prędkości
obrotowych łoŜysk rolki roboczej [2]:
Dr = 0,1D + 120±60
gdzie:
D – średnica krąŜka blachy.
4.5. Grubość krąŜka blachy
Im większa grubość blachy – g, tym mniej-
sze tendencje materiału do fałdowania, ale ko-
nieczne są większe siły do kształtowania. Dla
cienkich blach stosowane jest podparcie bla-
chy, w postaci dodatkowej rolki podpierającej,
celem zapobiegnięcia utraty stateczności przez
krąŜek w czasie kształtowania.
4.6. Średnica krąŜka
Im większa jest średnica krąŜka – D, tym
trudniej uzyskać wyrób bez fałdowania. Fał-
dowanie spowodowane jest tym, Ŝe krąŜek bla-
chy łatwiej traci stateczność przy krawędzi na
obwodzie, gdzie występuje duŜo większa pręd-
kość liniowa, tym większa, im większa jest
średnica krąŜka. Utrata stateczności zachodzi
przede wszystkim w wyrobach o duŜym zakre-
sie kształtowanej powierzchni.
Application of larger roller radius improves
the surface quality and reduces the product
ovalization. The recommended working radius
of the roller is [2]:
R = (0.012÷ 0.05)D
where:
D – the sheet disk diameter.
4.4. Diameter of the metal spinning roller
The magnitude of the roller diameter, Dr,
has no direct relationship with the formation
of drawpiece defects. The diameter is selected
on the basis of the empirical formula ensuring
the adequate rotational speed of the roller
which must not exceed the limit speeds
of the working roller bearings [2]:
R = 0.1D + 120±60
where:
D – the sheet disk diameter.
4.5. Sheet disk thickness
The larger sheet disk thickness, g, the less
tendency to material corrugation, but larger
forces are necessary for forming. For thin
sheets, support of the sheet in the form
of a supporting roller is applied in order
to prevent the disk stability loss during for-
ming.
4.6. The disk diameter
The larger is the disk diameter, D,
the more difficult it is to obtain a product with-
out corrugation. Corrugation results from
the fact that the sheet disk loses its stability
easier at the edge on the circumference where
the linear speed is higher; the larger is the disk
diameter, the larger the linear speed. Loss
of stability takes place mostly in products with
big range of the surface being formed.

5. WADY WYROBÓW WYSTĘPUJĄCE PODCZAS PROCESU WYOBLANIA
Występowanie wad podczas procesu wy-
oblania jest uzaleŜnione od rodzaju wprowa-
dzonych napręŜeń, które zaleŜą od kierunku
ruchu rolki roboczej.
Gdy rolka porusza się w kierunku krawę-
dzi zewnętrznej krąŜka, w materiale występują
napręŜenia obwodowe ściskające i promienio-
we rozciągające. Gdy rolka robocza porusza się
w kierunku środka krąŜka, to są wprowadzane
napręŜenia obwodowe ściskające i promienio-
we ściskające (rys. 3) [3].
Do najczęściej występujących wad pod-
czas procesu wyoblania zaliczamy: fałdowanie,
pęknięcia obwodowe oraz pęknięcia promie-
niowe (rys. 4).
Fałdowanie krąŜka (rys. 4a) występuje
wówczas, gdy do materiału są wprowadzone za
duŜe napręŜenia ściskające (zbyt duŜe przefor-
mowanie w jednym przejściu narzędzia). Aby
zapobiec fałdowaniu naleŜy zwiększyć liczbę
przejść narzędzia.
Pękanie obwodowe (rys. 4b) występuje
wówczas gdy w materiale są wprowadzane za
duŜe napręŜenia promieniowe rozciągające.
Pęknięcia promieniowe (rys. 4c) występu-
ją, gdy są wprowadzane za duŜe napręŜenia
rozciągające obwodowe, lub w przypadku, gdy
powstałe fałdy są obciskane na wzorniku.
5. PRODUCT DEFECTS OCCURRING
DURING THE PROCESS OF METAL
SPINNING
The occurrence of defects during the metal
spinning process is related to the kind
of stresses introduced, which stresses depend
on the direction of the roller motion.
When the roller moves towards the outer
edge of the disk, circumferential compressive
and radial tensile stresses appear in the mate-
rial. When the roller moves towards the middle
of the disk, circumferential compressive
stresses and radial compressive stresses are
introduced (fig. 3) [3].
The defects occurring most often during
the process of spinning are: corrugation,
circumferential cracks and radial cracks
(fig. 4).
Corrugation of the disk (fig. 4a) takes
place when too large compressive stresses are
introduced to the material (too much deforma-
tion in one tool pass). In order to prevent cor-
rugation, the number of tool passes should
be increased.
Circumferential cracking (fig. 4b) takes
place when too large radial tensile stresses are
introduced to the material
Radial cracks (fig. 4c) take place when
too large circumferential tensile stresses are
introduced or in case the corrugations are
crimped on the mandrel.

6. PROJEKTOWANIE TRAJEKTORII RUCHÓW NARZĘDZI
6.1. Zasady projektowania ścieŜek narzędzia
Projektowanie trajektorii ruchów narzędzi
jest obecnie nierozwiązanym problemem. Pod-
jęto trzy próby zautomatyzowania projektowa-
nia trajektorii ruchów poprzez: systemy ze
sprzęŜeniem zwrotnym i przez porównanie
parametrów z wcześniejszymi przypadkami
[2].
zwane sterowanie rozmyte. Stwierdził, Ŝe przy
uŜyciu tej metody moŜe być zmniejszone po-
cienienie ścianki nawet o 21% w porównaniu
do niekontrolowanego procesu. Następna próba
zautomatyzowania projektowania trajektorii
ruchów zaproponowana została przez R. Ewer-
sa [6], który zaproponował automatyzację pro-
jektowania ścieŜek narzędzia na podstawie
podobieństwa do poprzednich przypadków.
Takie podejście usprawnia projektowanie tra-
jektorii narzędzia o ok. 37%, ale wymaga duŜej
bazy danych [2].
6. DESIGNING THE TOOL MOTION TRA-
JECTORIES
6.1. Tool path designing principles
At the moment, designing the tool motions
is an unsolved problem. Three trials of auto-
mating the design of motion trajectories have
been undertaken: by systems with feedback
and by comparison to previous cases [2].
H. Dierig [4] has proposed a system
of tool force control in actual time, the task
of which was to maintain constant level
of force on the too. Such a system has not pre-
vented product corrugation. G. Reil [5] has
proposed the application of various forces
during the whole process by so-called fuzzy
control. He has found that, when using this
method, wall thinning can be reduced by as
much as 21% as compared to the uncontrolled
process. Another attempt at automatizing tra-
jectory designing has been made by R. Ewers
[6] who has proposed automation of the tool
path designing on the basis of similarity
to previous cases. Such an approach facilitates
the tool trajectory designing by about 37% but
requires a vast data base [2].

Ponadto istnieją równieŜ programy CAM
wspierające projektowanie trajektorii narzę-
dzia. Są to: program OPUS - opracowany przez
Leifeld GmbH i program SpinCAD - opraco-
wany przez MJC lub zastosowany w Instytucie
Obróbki Plastycznej program Trop CNC. Jed-
nak te programy CAM słuŜą do wizualizacji
trajektorii ruchów narzędzia i sprawdzenia czy
istnieją ewentualne kolizje narzędzi oraz prze-
konwertowania do kodu CNC. Projektowanie
trajektorii ruchu narzędzi odbywa się więc
głównie dzięki doświadczeniu programisty.
W dalszej części artykułu przedstawiono
wpływ trajektorii ruchu narzędzia na jakość
końcową wytłoczki. Napisanie programu ste-
rującego ruchem rolki podczas procesu kształ-
towania stanowi najtrudniejszą cześć w całym
procesie projektowania. Obecnie istnieją tylko
wskazówki, jak naleŜy prowadzić narzędzie,
aby uzyskać wyrób wolny od wad.
RóŜne rodzaje trajektorii ruchu narzędzia
zostały przedstawione na rys. 5.
Badania nad trajektorią ruchu rolki kształ-
tującej zostały przeprowadzone przez Hayama
i innych [7]. Autorzy ci stwierdzili, Ŝe najlep-
sze wyniki uzyskali dla trajektorii ruchu narzę-
dzia łukowo wklęsłego, dla którego wartość
współczynnika wyoblania R wyniosła R = 2,5
w porównaniu do kołowo wypukłego R = 2,0
i liniowego R = 1,7. Współczynnik wyoblania
R jest określony wzorem:
%1000
10 ⋅−
=g
ggR
gdzie:
g0 - grubość materiału wyjściowego,
g1 - minimalna grubość wytłoczki bez pęknię-
cia.
Rozkład kolejnych ruchów rolki roboczej
podczas procesu wyoblania został przedsta-
wiony na rys. 6.
Moreover, there are also CAM programs
assisting tool trajectory designing. Those are
program OPUS elaborated by Leifeld GmbH
and program SpinCAD elaborated by MJC
or program Trop CNC used by the Metal
Forming Institute. However, those CAM pro-
grams serve to visualize the tool movement
trajectories and check if there are any colli-
sions or conversions to the CNC code. The tool
trajectory design is, therefore effected thanks
to the experience of the programmer.
The further part of the paper presents
the influence of the tool motion trajectory
in the final drawpiece quality. Writing the pro-
gram controlling the roller motion during
the process of forming is the most difficult part
of the whole process of designing. At the mo-
ment, there are only guides indicating how
to lead the tool to obtain a product free of de-
fects.
Various kinds of tool motion trajectories
can be seen in fig. 5.
The forming roller trajectory has been
investigated by Hayam and others [7]. Those
authors have found that the best results were
obtained with the concave arc trajectory for
which the value of the metal spinning factor, R,
was 2.5 compared to the circular convex ,
R = 2.0 and linear R = 1.7. The metal spinning
factor, R, is determined by the formula:
%1000
10 ⋅−
=g
ggR
where:
g0 – initial material thickness,
g1 – minimum drawpiece thickness without
a crack.
The subsequent roller motions during the pro-
cess of metal spinning has been presented
in fig. 6.

Fig. 6. Roller motions during the spinning process: a) gradual reduction of the disk diameter,
b) gradual forming on the mandrel
Wybór rodzaju kolejnych ruchów narzę-
dzia jest uzaleŜniony przede wszystkim od
kształtu oraz od długości wytłoczki. Dla dłu-
gich wyrobów korzystne jest stosowanie ru-
chów ze stopniowym odkształcaniem materiału
na wzorniku (rys. 6b). Natomiast dla przedmio-
tów krótkich korzystniej jest stosować ruchy
o stałym zmniejszaniu średnicy krąŜka (rys.
6a). Podyktowane jest to uzyskaniem większej
równomierności rozkładu grubości ścianki oraz
krótszym czasem trwania procesu kształtowa-
nia.
Narzędzie kształtujące - rolka pracuje za-
równo podczas ruchu w kierunku brzegu krąŜ-
ka jak i odwrotnym (rys. 7). Kierunek porusza-
nia się rolki wpływa na rodzaj wprowadzanych
napręŜeń do materiału. Rolka poruszając się ku
brzegowi krąŜka pocienia go na mniejszych
średnicach a pogrubia na większych. W przy-
padku ruchu w przeciwnym kierunku sytuacja
jest odwrotna. NaleŜy pamiętać, Ŝe podczas
ruchu rolki w kierunku dociskacza materiał
zbiera się przed rolką i konieczne jest rozpro-
wadzenie tego materiału. Nierozprowadzenie
tego materiału moŜe spowodować powstanie
zgrubień materiału na części wyrobu dociśnię-
tej juŜ do wzornika.
The selection of the tool motion kind
is related, first of all, to the drawpiece shape
and length. For long products, it disadvanta-
geous to apply motions with gradual material
deformation of the mandrel (fig. 6b). For short
objects, on the other hand, it is better to apply
motions with small reduction of the disk diame-
ter (fig. 6a). This is to obtain a more even
distribution of the wall thickness and shorter
forming process time.
The forming. i.e. the roller, works both
during its movement towards the disk edge
and in the opposite direction (fig. 7). The roller
movement direction influences the kind
of stresses introduced into the material.
The roller, moving towards the disk edge, thins
it on the smaller diameters and makes it thicker
on the longer ones. In the case of the other
roller movement direction, the situation is
opposite. It should be kept in mind that, during
the roller movement toward the blankholder,
the material gathers in front of the roller and
it has to be distributed. If it is not distributed,
shoulders of material can arise on the product
part already pressed to the mandrel.

6.2. Badanie ruchów narzędzia w procesie wyoblania
W Instytucie Obróbki Plastycznej został
wykorzystany program CAM w procesie
wspomagania projektowania trajektorii narzę-
dzia o nazwie Trop CNC. Jego głównym zada-
niem jest przekonwertowanie rysunku typu
AutoCAD na kod CNC oraz wyszukanie błę-
dów i graficzna prezentacja poszczególnych
ruchów narzędzi. Zastosowanie takiego pro-
gramu znacznie przyspiesza pisanie programu
sterującego oraz ułatwia wprowadzanie zmian
celem optymalizacji procesu. Na rys. 8 przed-
stawiono przykładową trajektorię rolki wyobla-
jącej składającą się z 124 ruchów, w procesie
wyoblania osłony wywietrznika KHDA-36 [1].
6.2. Examination of tool motions in the pro-
cess of spinning
In the Metal Forming Institute, a CAM
program has been used in the process of aiding
the design of tool trajectory called Trop CNC.
Its essential task is to convert an AutoCAD type
drawing into a CNC code and to find mistakes
and graphically present the individual tool
motions. Application of such a program sig-
nificantly accelerates writing of the controlling
program and facilitates modifications in order
to optimize the process. Fig. 8 shows an exam-
ple of a spinning roller trajectory consisting
of 124 motions in the process of spinning
a KHDA-36 ventilator casing [1].

Na rys. 9 przedstawiono rozkład twardości
na długości wytłoczki. Widać tu wzrost twar-
dości z początkowej wartości około 25 HV0.5
do ok. 33 HV0.5. Spowodowane jest to pocie-
nieniem ścianki, której rozkład grubości przed-
stawiono na rys. 10.
7. WNIOSKI • Projektowanie procesów technologicznych
na wyoblarki sterowane numerycznie jest
skomplikowane ze względu na duŜą ilość
parametrów, które są ze sobą wzajemnie
powiązane.
Fig. 9 shows the distribution of hardness
on the drawpiece length. Increase of the hard-
ness from the beginning value of about
25 HV0.5 up to 33 HV0.5 can be seen here.
This is due to the wall thinning; the thickness
distribution of the wall has been shown
in fig. 10.
7. CONCLUSIONS
● Designing technological processes for
CNC metal spinning machines is compli-
cated due to the large number of parame-
ters which are mutually interrelated.

• Najlepsze wyniki procesu wyoblania uzy-
skano dla trajektorii ruchów rolki roboczej
łukowo wklęsłej.
• Przy projektowaniu trajektorii ruchów
rolki roboczej dla nowego wyrobu ko-
rzystne jest wykorzystanie wcześniej
sprawdzonych trajektorii dla podobnego
rodzaju materiału, podobnej średnicy i
grubości krąŜka wyjściowego oraz kształtu
wyrobu końcowego.
• Zastosowanie programu typu CAM znacz-
nie przyspiesza opracowywanie progra-
mów dla procesów technologicznych
kształtowania wyrobów metodą wyoblania
oraz ułatwia ujawnienie przy tym wystą-
pienia ewentualnej kolizji narzędzi i in-
nych elementów występujących w proce-
sie.
● The best results of the metal spinning
process have been obtained for the con-
cave arc trajectory of the working roller.
● When designing the roller trajectory for
a new product, it is beneficial to take ad-
vantage of previously proved trajectories
for a similar kind of material, similar dia-
meter and thickness of the initial disk,
as well as the shape of the final product.
● Application of a CAM type program sig-
nificantly accelerates elaboration pro-
grams for technological processes of for-
ming products by the method spinning;
it also facilitates the detection of possible
collision of the tools and other elements
present in the process.
