Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is essential for workers with jobs that involve heavy apparatus, chemical fluids, inclement environment and fire hazards. According to Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), PPE is an equipment worn to minimize exposure to hazards that cause serious workplace injuries and illnesses. And one of the PPE’s that one often has overlooked is safety footwear. OSHA explains that the employer shall ensure that each affected employee uses protective footwear when working in areas where there is a danger of foot injuries.
In fact, it is said that only one out of four victims of job-related foot injury wear any type of safety shoes or boots. The rest are unaware of the magnitude of protective footwear. This inevitably, has given rise to a demand of safety footwear production since it has been seen as a compliance requirement for manufacturers to abide by in ensuring a secure workplace for workers. Thus, below is a list of circumstances on how safety footwear can safeguard your feet from any unfortunate incidents:
Chemical exposureChemicals such as acids, solvents, vapors, fumes and flammable materials can cause a serious reaction when they come into contact with skin. Choosing a correct safety footwear with excellent resistance over common chemicals is crucial in keeping these substances out from your shoes. Metal filingsIf your job is to deal with glass, concrete, rocks, metal and any sharp objects, it is advisable for you to pick a safety footwear with a steel toe cap and steel midsole for penetration resistance in against cuts and piercing from any sharp objects.
LethargyThere are jobs that require workers to stand for long hours that often led to fatigue and unproductive. To encounter this problem, it is imperative to wear a comfortable safety footwear with extra wide-fitting toe cap and outsole designed to offer extra comfort while maintaining the durability.
Temperature fluctuationsJobs like mining and manufacturing sometimes can cause a serious burn if did not manage carefully due to high temperatures. An ideal safety footwear with outstanding heat resistance, excellent sweat absorption and steel toe cap would be the most suitable pick for this situation. Slippery floors Apart from temperature fluctuations, wet condition with slippery floors might cause a serious injury to workers for instance severe sprains and fractures due to slips and falls. A safety footwear with PU outsole to withstand unpleasant weather and offers outstanding slip resistance is a correct pick for this particular situation.
All in all, employers should play a vital role to urge and provide workers not only with a secure workplace but proper protective garments in avoidance of any severe incidents. At Safetyware Group, we believe that safety is everyone’s responsibility, of which in line with our interest in producing the best of PPE equipment for all industry users.

Business Planning: The bridge between your Corporate Vision and now… …
Start with a Compelling VisionMuch have been talked about the importance of having a compelling Corporate Vision. It provides a clean direction of where the Company is heading and it is the inspiration for every team member to work hard, feeling great being part of something meaningful and great.
Vision without coordinated action is merely a dreamMany organization have beautiful Vision statements displayed on the walls and in the corporate profiles, without proper plans and actions towards realizing the corporate Vision.Usually this happened because the Vision was not well-established with good team alignment and management communication.
A recommended way is to have a Strategic Planning and Team Alignment session, where the Core Team establish the longer term strategic direction with the key output of Corporate Mission, Vision and Core Values.
These form the basis of policies, objectives and other planning.
Business Planning as a BridgeTruly visionary companies turn dreams into reality. They roll out stage-by-stage action plans. They also have disciplined management that ensure execution with control mechanism based on the Plan-Do-Check-Act (PDCA) Cycle.
The key component of the plan process is the annual Business Planning. Vision, being the long-term aspiration, cannot be achieved overnight. The Business planning process provide a practical link as a bridge to achieving the Vision.
Let’s Plan to Plan… Let’s objectively assess our planning process. As we approach 2019, it is opportune for us to plan our Business Planning 2019 and beyond… …

Sudden cardiac arrest (SCA) can strike at any time—during work, while at church, or in the middle of a school event. Without AEDs and CPR, the prospects for survival are bleak. Fewer than 10% of SCA victims typically survive, but studies show that 30% to 50% would likely survive if CPR and AEDs were used within five minutes of collapse.1 ZOLL® provides AED and CPR solutions for schools, fitness centers, churches, corporations, police stations, and other organizations that serve the public.
