Collection of Exam Results
If you are not able to collect results personally, please
either:
Bring in a stamped addressed envelope with enough postage to cover the size of the envelope. Results are printed on A4 paper and can be folded so the envelope does not need to be large
We have pre-prepared a “Third Party Permission” letter of authority, a copy of which can be picked up from the Exams Office or downloaded from the school website under “Information/Exams”. This can be completed and left with us or given to the nominated third party to bring with them on results day. Please note that without your written permission we are unable to hand out results to a third party
COMPETITION TIME: There are exciting competitions taking place in the English Department over half term.
Year 7: Half-term Competition Create a 3D model of something from Shakespeare’s
World Students could create a 3D model of:
- Shakespeare’s Globe - London Bridge - Shakespeare’s house
There will be a prize for the winner and runner up prizes for the best models!
YEAR 8: Half term Competition Write A Biography of a person who is important to
you
- Students can collect a red booklet from their English teachers or go to the English Office over the next week. They can then write their biographies in them. - Students should make sure they include all that they have been learning in their English lessons to make their writing really interesting and creative!
There will be a prize for the winner and runner up prizes
for the best biographies!

St Andrew’s Church, Linton Road,
is providing an opportunity for 11-18s
from the schools in the surrounding
area to come to their new after school drop in centre.
They meet term time on a
Wednesday afternoon from 3:30-5:30pm. The space
exists to be a safe place for young people to play games,
do homework, chat, and drink hot chocolate. It is run by the youth work team at St Andrew’s.

From Mr Dyer: BIKE CLUB Cycling club is on Mondays after school, we have bikes and helmets available to use, or students can bring their own. Meet at back
playground South Site after school.
Cherwell Filming Club is a student-led
club that films, edits and produces films for the school and community. We
meet on Friday after school in the media room on north site- next to
the food tech rooms. Come along any time if you’re interested in filming,
reporting, or photography, no experience needed! Snacks provided

ENGLISH REVISION SESSIONS - Thursdays: Heading Straight for 8! These
are English revision lessons for students aiming for exceptional grades in
English and were especially successful last year. These will teach high-
quality knowledge associated with the texts and explore how to respond
to them with style and sophistication. This session is open to all students
– students do not need to be predicted a high grade to attend.
