Possible applications for flat glass products

DDG LASER ENGRAVING SYSTEM

Sub-surface engraving

Sub-surface engraving - example

Sub-surface engraving - example

• surfaces stay plane

• less dirt / easy cleaning

• spectacular and innovative decoration

• 2D and 3D graphics floating inside the glass

• efficient coupling out of light with sub-surface engraving

Sub-surface engraving – bistro table with LED lights

Sub-surface engraving – panelling with LED lights / LED lamp

Sub-surface engraving – office partition wall

Sub-surface engraving – outdoor glass wall (20m)

Sub-surface engraving – sunblind / light control

• blinds inside of glass to control light

and daylight use.

Sub-surface engraving – acrylic design chair

Sub-surface engraving – mirror application

Examples – surface engraving

• matting and innovative

decoration without dirt

problems (no finger prints!)

• applicable to

- float

- tempered glass,

- mirrors (front- and back)

Examples – surface engraving for surface light guide

• efficient and positioned

coupling out of light

• easy production of

special designs

Examples – anti-slip surface engraving

• anti-slip laser engraving of glass surfaces

– multiple design possibilities

• abrasion-resistant and hard-wearing

• class R9 and higher possible

(certificate projected)

Examples – removal of coatings

• removal of coating with clear or matt glass

surface possible

• efficient and accurate removal of complex

designs

• removal of metal coatings and

powder- or laquer coating

• engraving of conductive coatings

Laser engraving of flat glass

Forecast

• processing of big sized flat glass will get more economic due to efficient

laser technology.

• advantages in processing of laser engraving:

- detailed process control

- reduction of manual work

- high level of automation

• innovative laser processes make new techncal and aesthetic posibilities

of glass processing accessible

PPG (USA) –ARCHITECTURAL GLASS

The PPG Certified Fabricator Program encompasses an elite collection of suppliers who have

committed themselves to meeting a specific set of standards established by PPG. Members of

the Certified Fabricator Program participate in a rigorous training program on the processing of

all the architectural glass products produced by PPG, including high performance coated glasses

such as the family of Solarban® Solar Control Low-E Glasses.

DDG Glass is the first glass processor in Singapore to be authorize distributors for PPG

architectural glass products and also an international certified fabricator for PPG Low-e

products.

(ICFP) International Certified Fabricator Program

We look forward to an innovative

partnership and shared success.
