FUTURO CON “BE GOING TO”

En el discurso

cotidiano, "going to" suele

acortarse como "gonna",

especialmente en inglés

americano, aunque nunca se

escribe así.

El uso de "going to" para referirse a

eventos futuros sugiere un vínculo muy

sólido con el presente.

El momento preciso no es relevante, es

posterior al ahora, pero la actitud implica que

dicho evento depende de algo que sabemos

sobre la situación actual."Going to" se emplea sobre todo para hablar de nuestros planes e intenciones, o para realizar predicciones basadas en evidencias actuales.

Going to FutureAffirmative:

Subject + verb to be + going to + main verb

Going to FutureNegative:

Subject + verb to be negative + going to + main verb

I am not going to study with my friends.

She isn’t going to visit her parents tomorrow.

We aren’t going to bring her a gift.

Going to FutureQuestions:

Verb to be + subject + going to + main verb

Am I going to be late for school tomorrow?Yes, you are. / No, you aren’t.

Is it going to rain tomorrow morning?Yes, it is. / No, it isn’t.

Are you going to work tonight?Yes, I am. / No, I’m not.

Going to FutureGoing to = gonna, in spoken English.

I’m going to eat that cake.
