THE ITALIAN STUDENTS AND TEACHERS

A TYPICAL DAY

We usually woke up at about 7:30 and had breakfast with our own families. Then we met the group at the college. We had activities like sightseeing during the morning and later we spent the afternoon with our partners. Sometimes we met in the evening, too.

SHREWSBURY

Shrewsbury is the county town of Shropshire, is on the river Severn and has a population of about 72000 people. It has an

unalterated medieval street plan and is located near the Welsh border.

THE SHREWSBURY COLLEGE OF ARTS AND TECHNOLOGIES

This is our partner college. Here they study for 4 years and it is a campus.Students can choose between many courses: catering, front of house, accounting, fashion, music, photography, hair and beauty…

ORIGINS RESTAURANT

Origins is the name of the college restaurant, run by the college and the students and open to the public.Here we tasted the English afternoon Tea and prepared on Friday night the Italian Gala Dinner.

TELFORD AND IRONBRIDGE• Telford is a large new town.

• It has a modern shopping mall constructed at the new town's geographical centre, along with an extensive Town Park.

• Telford is close to Ironbridge Gorge, a scenic tourist destination and UNESCO World Heritage Site. The town advertises itself as "The Birthplace of Industry",

BLISTS HILL VICTORIAN TOWN

• Blists Hill is an open-air museum, one of ten museums operated by the Ironbridge Gorge Museum Trust, built on a former industrial complex located in the Madeley area of Telford, Shropshire, England.

• The museum attempts to recreate the sights, sounds and smells of a Victorian Shropshire town in the late 19th and early 20th centuries.

BIRMINGHAM• Is a city and metropolitan borough in the West

Midlands of England. It is the largest and most populous British city outside London.

LONDON!

• London is the capital of England. It has many attractions and is a multiethnic city. We spent a day here and had the possibility to see some of the main squares, buildings and monuments.
