But the company has another project aimed at getting basic high-speed Internet to areas that don't have it. And the project uses something we think of as low-tech — _________!

Q8.* Palmer Luckey is a weird guy. The Telegraph sat down with Mr Luckey in his office—or, to be more accurate, “his own suite on the top floor of Facebook’s headquarters.” Here are some fun facts about Mr Palmer:• He never wears shoes. • He loves Elon Musk.• He’s more of a Steve Wozniak than a Steve Jobs.• When asked if he invented a parallel world to escape from something wrong in his own world, Mr

Luckey said:

If I grew up in “da hood” it would make my story so much more interesting—if I had something to escape from. I had a pretty good life. My parents weren’t rich; they weren’t poor. I wasn’t trying to escape from anything. It was always just the pursuit of something cooler. Even if you have a great suburban lifestyle, you’re doing sports, have friends—some people want more than that. That’s why they watch Transformers or read The Iliad. I was one of them, but I could make my life cooler.

The company’s CEO offered up some of the back story on this saying that the name derived from a lady that he once used to work with and that he had, at one time, thought about naming his daughter X.

X actually means “beautiful woman who leads you to victory” in the Norwegian language.

He also stated that the website domain was also available and that consumers want a name that’s easy to say and spell, two items that make sense, but don’t exactly fit in with the rest of the romanticism behind the naming.

Q17. X gas, also known as bertholite, was first used as a weapon in World War I by Germany on April 22, 1915 in the Second Battle of Ypres.

As described by the soldiers it had a distinctive smell of a mixture between pepper and pineapple. It also tasted metallic and stung the back of the throat and chest. The damage done by X gas can be prevented by the activated charcoal commonly found in gas masks, or other filtration methods, which makes the overall chance of death much lower than those of other chemical weapons.

It was pioneered by a German scientist later to be a Nobel laureate, Fritz Haber of the Kaiser Wilhelm Institute in Berlin, in collaboration with the German chemical conglomerate IG Farben, who developed methods for discharging the gas against an entrenched enemy. It is alleged that Haber's role drove his wife, Clara Immerwahr, to suicide.
