Applications for Electrochemistry 2015 contest

Lithium-ion battery for Russian producers of hand power tools

Challenge:Most lithium-ion batteries for hand power-tools are made in China and furthermore their energy density is low.

Responses:- to select appropriate commercially available high power lithium-ion cells (EnerZ, Samsung, Panasonic) with higher capacity;- to develop a battery management system (BMS);- to place BMS and selected lithium-ion cells in actual battery case.

Development of the high-voltage system of accumulation and storage of energy for transport and stationary applications

Challenge:To diminish the influence on the environment better energy systems for transport and stationary applications are needed.

Responses:With use of high performance lithium-ion cells of EnerZ to develop a module of battery system with following characteristics:nominal voltage: 125V, nominal capacity: 34 Ah, Operating temperature: -40÷60°CCycle life: 2500-3000 11
