什麼是⾳音景（Soundscape）？

A soundscape is a sound or combination of sounds that forms or arises from an immersive environment. The study of soundscape is the subject of acoustic ecology.
The idea of soundscape refers to both natural acoustic environment, consisting of natural sounds, including animal vocalizations and, for instance, the sounds of weather and other natural elements; and environmental sounds created by humans, through musical composition, sound design, and other ordinary human activities including conversation, work, and sounds of mechanical origin resulting from use of industrial technology.

聲⾳音⽣生態學 Acoustic Ecology
• 以⾳音景研究(Soundscape)為主的學⾨門，探討聲⾳音(Sounds)在⽣生物(live beings)跟所處環境(environment and society)間交互作⽤用的關係。
• Barry Truax定義：⼀一種聲⾳音的環境，強調其如何被個⼈人或社群所感知、理解的過程
• Schafer所提出的Eye Culture-可視為⼈人們對視覺主導認知的反思。
• 右圖為英國Columbia⻄西海岸⾃自然⾳音景 (natural soundscape)在不同年份時不同聲源⾳音量上的相對⼤大⼩小 (from Truax 1984: 142)。
• 各種聲⾳音的消⻑⾧長，其實暗⽰示了不同產業活動、⽣生活樣態的興衰，例如族群遷移、新技術發明、貿易重⼼心轉移等等。

The World Soundscape Project
總部設於加拿⼤大 Simon Fraser ⼤大學傳播學院的聲⾳音研究中⼼心，致⼒力於全球⾳音景的⽐比較研究。創⽴立於 1971年，國內與國際的研究以聽覺、聲⾳音符號 、噪⾳音污染為主，期望跨領域的結合藝術與科學成⽴立聲響設計研究室。
出版品包括：The Book of Noise, The Music of Environment, A Survey of Community Noise by Law in Canada (1972), The Vancouver Soundscape, A Dictionary of Acoustic Ecology, Five Village Soundscape and A European Sound Dirary.
蚊⾳音器 Mosquito Alarm• 通過發出⾼高頻聲⾳音來製⽌止年輕⼈人集會的電器設備。由於⼈人⽿耳的
功能會隨著年紀變化，只有約莫25歲以下的年輕⼈人才聽得到。
• 在市場上被定義為安全地防⽌止年輕⼈人在特定區域集會的保安⼯工具。⼀一般被宣傳為⽤用以減少反社會⾏行為，如聚眾、塗鴉、故意破壞公物、吸⻝⾷食毒品、毒品買賣和暴⼒力事件。在英國⼀一共銷售了3000台，主要⽤用在⼾戶外商店和公共運輸附近。

• Keynote sounds- ⽤用以表⽰示曲⺫⽬目基調的⾳音樂術語，不⼀一定都能被聽到。通常是⾃自然產⽣生，如⾵風聲、⽔水⽣生、森林、蟲鳴⿃鳥叫...等等。在都會區域，交通噪⾳音為常⾒見的keynote sound。
• Sound signals- 前景(foreground)聲⾳音, 會有意識地去聆聽，如警報器、鈴鐺、號⾓角、⽿耳語...等等。
