ABROAD

Genre: Crime, drama.

Style: The TV show contains many flashbacks, and is constantly changing from past to present. It is quite fast paced and the scenes change often. It is also quite science based and a lot of the scenes take place in labs where they test drugs.

Abroad is a TV show about two drug smugglers that get caught at Heathrow Airport. The whole series is a massive flashback, every episode is a different year, and we see how the events in years leading up to their arrest caused them get caught. Both characters (Mary and Rob) have a different recollection of events, and as the series progresses we see who has been telling the truth.

• Each episode will have a new story, which will be set in a new year. However all of the episodes link together to form a bigger story by the end of the series. This means it will have a serial narrative.

• It is set in Heathrow Airport for the first few episodes, but in later episodes it is set in the various places the 2 main characters go. In the flashbacks the scenes are set mostly abroad in foreign countries and features what the characters did in previous years.

Potential Position in the Marketplace

• It will be released on Amazon Prime all at once, which will mean people will be able to watch it whenever they want, and they could watch it in any order due to there being a new story each episode.

• It will run for about 50 minutes per episode. • The target audience will be people aged 16-50. It is not extremely violent or scary,

but the drugs references and occasional swearing will mean it is suitable for people older than 16.

• Aimed at people that like crime drama shows, and also people that are prepared to use Amazon Prime instead of a TV channel.
