MADE BY: PANKHURI AGARWALPGFD C

Brown to me is royal and is heavy- that’s why I am referring to it as a viscous colour. When I think of brown I think of soil, chocolates wooden textures heaviness and depth.Brown is used abundantly in design today- be it interiors or exterior elevations of building and even in clothes. It blends with every other colour to give a pleasing effect. Also it gives a feeling of stability to me.Brown is an earthen colour associated with nature. There are various shades of brown. And most of the shades are found in the food items like coco, coffee, flour, cinnamon, biscuits.

Animal textureI can associate brown colour with nature. And this photo makes me think of hard animal skin, may be that of a crocodile though it’s a wooden

texture. This photo is taken in a perspective that shows-

no end or movement. The reason why this wooden texture gives a look of animal skin is the presence of etched

texture within the squares. So this image appeared to be reasonable interesting.

Food and illusionThis photo is a zoomed view of rasins. As

mentioned earlier I can associate brown colour with food. The rasins come in different shades of brown and the wrinkles on rasins brings out the

colour well. This is what I had planned to click. But after

clicking I saw this illusion in this picture. I can see movement, which is very interesting.

Brown is all about textures

The picture speaks for itself… it shows how brown colour compliments textures. The colour brown

has made the textures look more amazing. Brown colour goes with everything and looks good on

everything. All the three textures stand out and they look good

individually. What u see in this picture is texture. But each texture is beautiful in itself and

compliments the colour brown.

Warm and sharpThis picture had a certain warmth in it. Also the

sharpness is very thought – provoking. It looks like some steps or a geometrical wooden pattern. These are actually the cardboard sheets

assembled in such a way. This picture depicts instability in a stable way.

Self madeThese clay textures were worth snapping

especially when I had brown theme. The love for this picture is even more because first- they have variety of textures secondly, all

these textures in clay were made by me.This picture gives a baked feeling. Literally and

figuratively.

BrowniliciousOne of my favourite picture, this picture is attention

grabbing. The richness of chocolate yet emptiness in the bottle shows how people who are depressed switch on

to chocolates very easily. All of us can relate how this picture is thought

provoking. The richness, taste and feel of chocolate is amazing but after consuming it the guilt that people face is also portrayed. And also the guilt that people

have because of which they switch on to sweets and the emptiness chocolates is shown in a beautiful manner.

geometricalthis picture is very attractive because the triangular area made with three different

browns shows depth and surface. I like the 3d effect. Also the fact that this effect is in harmony with the brown colour is very

interesting.

contrastThe love for the colour brown grew more in this pic.I love how it depicts little light in darkness. And also

smoothness and softness comes with roughness. This a zoomed picture of a donut. I love donuts and

this is one of the reason this pic is here. Also it is creating a contrast because being a donut which is

soft and sweet, it looks like a hard and a rough surface.

Confusion in rhythmThe tempo of this picture is so eye catching that

you see rhythm and also confusion. This composition was worth clicking. As u can see there are a lot of baskets in a small place.

How each one being different in size and shape has made a place for itself amongst so many is worth noting. It teaches us that we can adjust with everyone no matter how different people

around us are.

ghostlyThis composition is scary. Agree or not the shadows,

the incomplete construction gives negative vibes.I was happy to include this in my collection of

pictures because this was so different from the other pictures that I took on brown.

This picture shows another side of the colour brown. It shows how brown can give a negative

effect as well. Everything about this picture from saw dust to rough texture to incompleteness is eerie
