Alberta Charney & Gray Libercap 교수는 1985년부터 1998년 사이에 본 대학의 비즈니스 스쿨을 졸업한

학생들이 16년 이후 어떻게 활동하고 있는지를 조사함(460/2024명 회수).

본 연구결과,

1. 기업활동을 하고 있는 기업가 중 54%는 기업가정신의 정규교육을 받았으며, 25.5%는 부분적인 교육을

받아 약 80% 이상이 관련 교육을 받은 경험을 가지고 있음. 단지 17.4%만이 해당 교육을 받은 경험이 없음.

2. 교육받은 졸업자의 27.2%는 졸업 후 자신의 사업활동을 수행하는데 반해 비교육 수혜자의 경우 9%

정도만이 자신의 사업을 영위하고 있음.

3. 이들 졸업동문 기업 중 교육을 받은 기업가에 의해 경영되는 기업이 그렇지 못한 기업의 경우 보다 5배

이상의 높은 매출신장률을 보이고 있음. 또한 이들 기업은 비교 기업군 보다 3배 이상의 신제품 개발력을

보이고 있으며, 첨단기술기반(high-tech based) 사업에 종사하는 비율이 22.7%로써 비교 대상기업군의

14.7%보다 현저하게 높은 수준임.

4. 또한 이들 교육 수혜자의 경우(사업활동을 하지 않는 사람 포함) 평균 보유 자산규모는 약 28만불이며,

비교 대상군의 경우 약 17만불로써 62% 이상의 높은 수준을 보이고 있음. 또한 교육 수혜자의 경우 그렇지

않은 경우보다 27% 높은 수준의 연간 소득을 실현하고 있음.
