enables enhanced military interoperability and improved

– support common interests in regional engagement, security & stability

– improve interoperability

– deepen the Australia - US alliance

– enhance responsiveness to emergencies and natural disasters

United States Marine Corps Initiative

• MAGTF Deployment during

the Dry Season

• Mature state:

– 2500 personnel, with variety of

aircraft, vehicles and equipment

• 2015 MRF-D rotation:

– 1150 personnel, 4 Super Stallion

helicopters, a variety of vehicles

and equipment

Enhanced Air Cooperation (EAC) Initiative

• Increased rotations of US Aviation elementsEAC

• Proportionate Use Funding Contributions

• Does not allow for permanent US military

bases in Australia
