What is a Keynote Speaker?

• A Keynote Speaker should be able to capture the essence of your meeting and be able to highlight it to your audience in a short period of time.

• The keynote lays the framework; flag up a larger idea –a literary story, an individual musical piece or event.

• The keynote address or keynote speech is delivered to set the underlying tone and summarize the core message or most important revelation of the event.

What is APMMC?

• Academics sharing of their work• Started with marketing, added economics, then

management

• The idea – a place for academics in Asia Pacific to meet and discuss their work;

• Ties in with the faculty’s vision: Towards RegionalEconomics, Business, and Entrepreneurship Scholarship

What is APMMC?

• The first time I ran this conference, was while the Faculty was at the East Campus and the conference was run in one of the classrooms.

• Small number of people• Special Branch coming to ask about the

foreign participants.

• Moved on to hotels
