Marketing opportunities:

•LinkedIn gives companies a dedicated section to promote their products and services by giving detailed information about your offerings and providing links to your website for more information.

•Each time a member endorses your product or service, their recommendation becomes visible to all of their connections, and this could help create a buzz about your products/services

•To better target your audience, LinkedIn also allows you to create custom audiences based on industry, title, location, size and other segments. Doing this allows only particular products to appear to targeted audience segments. Members who do not correspond to one of the defined segments will see your default content. Up to 30 distinct audience segments can be created

•Gives you the ability to run Sponsored Updates to promote your best content with extremely focused targeting to ensure it reaches the right people

•Use of targeted advertising through the LikedIn PPC advertising platform, that allows you to target your ads to appear only a very precisely defined target audience. Audiences can be filtered according to industry, job title, job function, seniority, location, company name, company size etc.

WHY TO SET UP A COMPANY PAGE

Recruiting talented employees:

Linked In is great for getting wider exposure across professional audiences. By adding a Careers tab to your Company Page, you can use LinkedIn as a recruiting tool, The careers section can also be used to direct traffic to your website and Facebook page as a way of helping interested job seekers learn more about what you offer.

Establish Credibility:

A company page also gives you the ability to interact with LinkedIn members in other areas of the site including groups and the answers section where you have the opportunity to demonstrate your company's expertise by participating in discussions related to your industry and answering questions from other LinkedIn members.

Improving your ranking in search engines:

Google and other search engines rank LinkedIn company pages, so selecting keywords that your ideal clients are likely to search when looking for your services and placing them throughout your description can help to improve your search engine page results. As a result, your website may also see an increase in traffic, especially if links back to your company’s website are built into your posts.
