5
Base weights
Base weights fully encased in rubberRubber moulding means base weights aren’t prone to peelingUnique design adds to performance.Reduces thermal bridging
Weightanka/Wireanka/Accessanka
6
Galvanised Counter weightsEach counterweight weighs 25kg and incorporate carrying handlesDifferent roof types require different Counterweight quantities
Weightanka/Wireanka/Accessanka
7
PlacementEN795 requires all dead weight anchor devices to be positioned 2.5m from any roof edge, open void or fall hazard.Do not position in areas where there is a risk of contamination or accumulation of waterDo not position where any system component could be affected by oil, grease or algaeIce and snow must be cleared from base, do not use if risk of frost or in freezing conditionsOn Gravel covered roofs, brush gravel to allow anchor bases direct contact with roof material

Placement
An exclusion zone should be established around the Anchors working area into which no one should be allowed unless connected to the Deadweight (or other appropriate anchor, if one exists).
The exclusion zone should be designated by some form of marking or barrier, e.g. KEEMARK demarcation system.

Limitations
Must be used with PPE that limits the MAF to 6kN
Do not use in high winds.
WEIGHTANKA Not suitable for supporting cable systems, Use WIREANKA
Roof structure suitability to be checked by structural engineer (especially with Wireanka)

Fall Arrest fall distancesThe clearance height below the feet of the user to the first obstacle in the path of a potential fall must be at least what is required by any PPE used in conjunction with the Weightanka system, plus 1m to allow for potential movement of the system itself.N.B. Distance ‘D’ will be increased if Rope Adjuster or Retractable Lanyard used dependent on Manufacturers specification.Be aware of factors reducing fall clearance e.g. cars, other buildings, forktrucks, pedestrians. Recommend cordoning off area below work area. E.g. where A= 5m, B= 2.5m, D= 5m–2.5m +
1m= 3.5m E= 1.75m F = 2m G = 1mTotal fall clearance required = 8.25m
Weightanka/Wireanka/Accessanka
12
Fall Restraint
Combination of anchor position and PPE supplied ensures no user is able to reach a position of 0.5m of any roof edge, roof open or other fall hazard
Weightanka/Wireanka/Accessanka
13
Cleaning/StorageThe assemblies should be kept clean, using detergent if necessary, by wiping or hosing down with clean water and dried. If disinfecting is deemed necessary please check with Kee Safety that disinfectant will not cause damage to equipment or PPEStorage should be in a dry, chemically inert environment, away from sources of damage and stored in such a way that dismantled products will not become lost or misplaced.Where the Weightanka has been left in position an optional cover is available.

Before installation
It is strongly recommended that installers assemble and disassemble one in a place of safety, away from the worksite, to familiarise themselves with:
the product the assembly instructionsterms used to describe the various parts the markings on the product.

UsageAccessanka is an accessory to Weightanka and must always be used in combination with it.
This combination provides a mobile deadweight anchor device for use in rope access systems in accordance with:
Industrial Rope Access Trade Association (IRATA) guidelines
and/or:BS7985:2002 – Code of practice for the use of rope access methods for industrial purposes
Accessanka
42
AccessankaUsage
Ensure both working and Backup lines are secured to BOTH eyebolts
43
AssemblyAssembly consists of screwing the Accessanka together using stainless steel M10 nuts and boltsEach nut and bolt have thumb wheels for ease of assembly Modular assembly, no part longer than 2m. Complete assembly weighs 21kg

Accessanka placementHorizontal rope guide must be positioned to allow the lines to hang free, without them touching the edge of the roof or the side of the building below.
Centre of the Weightanka pedestal is positioned 3.3m from the roof edge. Correct leg position is inside the parapet wall at the roof edge, approximately 260 mm from the vertical face of the building.Adjust the position of Weightanka, if necessary, to achieve required position.AND AT LEAST 2.5m AWAY FROM ANY OTHER ROOF EDGE, OPENING OR FALL HAZARD

annuallyAccessanka six monthly (LOLER regulations)Recorded on Record cardCarry out all checks as interim inspection, plus:
No wear or distortion of holes through which pins and bolts are passedNo deformation of pins or bolts or of their threads No evidence that Weightanka/Wireanka has arrested fall e.g. scrape marks on roof, deformation of pedestal, cross arms, stabiliser, eyebolt etc.(Accessanka only) Check for wear of the horizontal rope guides. If depth of groove greater than 1mm, outer beam should be returned for repair.
