Site context: orientation & climateThe climate in Hanoi is often too humid to fit the ASHRAE comfort zone. During summer, the temperatures can be quite hot without necessarly cooling during the night. Vertical town• The TWO is designed such as a vertical town, happy, open and
dancing, an iconic landmark taking its energy from the bustling Ring Road 3,
• The TWO’s first vertical town building will have retail at its base, but higher there will be apartments (550 units, from a large range of types), garden, playground, lap pool, and a sky garden – a viewing terrace at the summit, where people can overlook the stunning 360 panoramic view of the Red River’s curves while practicing tai chi or relaxation,
• Its above ground parking will receive a vertical garden on façade made of random planters and extruded boxes as a response to the also random and dynamic shop-house, showing the positive impact of architecture to people,
Design intentions• On 2016, people can watch the steady ascent of a
towering landmark on the capital’s skyline, marking its new dominance of the south gate landscape on the ring road 3, the CT2 – The TWO – residence complex will be one of the most innovative apartment buildings in Vietnam. But French architect Nguyen Chi Tam is already keen to convince people that the TWO residences is not just another monolithic boring apartment block.
