04// Reconaedicule
The Reconaedicule is better thought
of as a conversation booth. The
brief states that each team can only
use one static and one dynamic
material, while construction can
only be done with two fasteners.
The finished product is allowed to
occupy a 5'x10'x10' space. Our team
chose air filters for the static exterior
and quilt batting for the dynamic
interior. Each surface staying true to
the characteristics of the material.
Our fasteners were staples and 3m
strips.

06//Coda School of Ballet
The school will be built on an infill
site in Chicago, Illinois. The focus
was on form and effect. Thelist of
programs was given as well as the
ideal sizes of each program. Pro-
gram studies were the biggest focus
in this project.

10// Chicago City Market
The Chicago City Market was a project located in Logan
Square in Northern Chicago. The focus is on structure and
the relationship it has with the vender stalls. Also, on how the
structure is used in facilitating circulation of people through
the market. The goal is to have a year-round facility to use as a
market, community center and also a place for live music.

12// Chicago New Opera House
The New Chicago Opera House is
located in Licoln Park. The focus of
the project being, creating a skin that
incorporates a basic knowledge of
structure that will house a provided
core from the Windspear Opera
House. The biggest challenge is
designing in the round, taking into
account the multiple directions of
people coming to the site. The skin
appears to be floating on top of
the ground with entrances piercing

14// 2016 Lyceum Competition Audubon Terrace Library
The Audubon Terrace is a historical location
in Upper Manhatten that houses the
Hispanic Society of America. The goal is
to provide the community with a modern
library that doubles as a community center.
The biggest challenge being to negotiate
two levels of public access at two different
elevations to the North and South of the site.
The history of the community is the driving
force behind this project.
