Red is the Colour for all Seasons
Red is the colour of blood, rubies and strawberries and
lots of things in nature around us. Red can vary in hue from
orangered to violetred. and for each hue there are a wide
variety of shades and tints, from very light pink to dark
burgundy. Red has found present in the dresses of almost
all regions in the world. Red is the colour that represents
passion and vivaciousness. The brighter shade of Red represents the positive aspects
of our lives.
It has been observed that the choice of a colour is normally based on the surroundings
of the person. When the weather is hot and humid, the choice is usually pastel shades
that will bring calmness and are soothing to the eyes. In the autumn season when the
trees have shed all their leaves and when the summer is transitioning to winter, the
choice of colours are usually those shades that will add some colour in the
surroundings. In the winter
season, when the weather is
cold outside and the
landscape is covered in a
snowy blanket, the choice of
colour is usually those which
add a dash to the otherwise
pale surroundings.
However, there is one colour that is found all around the year. This is the colour of all
seasons – RED. Given the fact that the winter season has set in and very soon the
outside will be pale and gloomy and at times snowy. Redwill add that bit of dash which
will act as a mood elevator. It will enhance the beauty of the element on which it will be
used. Likewise in the summer season, when the preferred choice are pastel shades of
yellow, blue, green or grey a touch of Red adds vibrancy to the surroundings and the
element that has this colour stands out.
Over the years, the designers have mastered the art of using a mixed
palate of colour s to enhance the beauty of the elements they design. Be
it dresses like tops, skirts, jewellery or purses and bags, Red is
undoubtedly the choice.
In many parts of the world, Red colour is also considered to be very
auspicious. In countries like China, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Japan and
several South American countries, Red colour is used in
the traditional worshipping practices. In countries like
India red is the colour of the vermilion and is used for daily
used by married women and for special worshipping
rituals.
When design a room, it is recommended that the red colour be included in the overall
design ethos. It will surely bring good luck to the occupants of the premises.
