Тематический настрой Today we’ll continue talking about different

subcultures. It’s a well-known fact that the majority of those who join subcultures are teens. And they have different reasons for doing it.

Let’s divide into 4 groups. Each group will be given a sheet of paper with clusters. Fill them and then we’ll discuss the results together.

Page 5: модельный текст

Why do teens join subcultures?

What subcultures are popular nowadays?

Why are adults usually against youth subcultures?

Do you think the phenomenon of subcultures is mainly positive or negative?

Page 6: модельный текст

Учитель обсуждает с учениками получившиеся результаты.

Реконструкцмя МТ What is the text about? Have you understood everything?

Page 15: модельный текст

Do you think there’re some similarities between different subcultures?

Work in the same groups. I’ll give you the sheets of papers with the names of subcultures and you’ll have to find at least 4 traits similar for them and 4 individual traits for each of the subcultures given.

Page 16: модельный текст

Now you’ll try to create a poem of your own. But to be successful you need to use a certain grammatical structure.

Как вы заметили, в стихотворении используется структура Ns, like Ms…

Что выражается с помощью этой структуры?

Page 17: модельный текст

Let’s train the structure. Each of us should make up one sentence about two subcultures in turn. The sentence should be like this one:

Punks, like skinheads, listen to rock.

Page 18: модельный текст

Now your task is to write poems of your own in groups. Do not forget about “like” structure and make a conclusion of your poem in the last lines. The discussion we had at the beginning of the lesson should help you with it.

You will have 15 minutes for writing. Then you’ll present your poems in class.

Креативное письмо

Презентация модельных текстов

Now when you have written the poems let’s listen to some of them.

Ok, thank you. Your hometask is to retype the poems and find illustrations for them. Tomorrow we’ll make a booklet with all your poems.

Thank you for your work
