STUDY ABSTRACT Study Title: The sixteen personality factors and their relationship to amphetamines addiction. Student: Mansour Nasir Mohammed Hijab Advisor: Prof. Dr. Mohammed Buzian Tegza Study Problem: The problem of the study can be formulated in the next major question: What is the nature of the relationship between the sixteen personality factors and amphetamines addiction? Study Population: Includes amphetamines substance addicts of individuals who are sent from anti-drug forces to Alamal Complex for Mental Health in Dammam, and normal individuals of the same social and job environment of the previous sample whose laboratory analysis proofed that they are free of any narcotic substance usage, the researcher took random sample of () persons from addicts, and a simple random sample of () persons from the health individuals, and after field application the researcher gained () scale suitable for statistical analysis () scales of them for addicts and () scales special scale for healthy members. Study Methodology: The researcher used the descriptive comparative methodology, as well he used the questionnaire as a tool for data collection. Main Results: . There are statistically significant differences at the level of or less in the following factors: (the

factor (Q) Self-Sufficiency, the factor (M) Imagination, the factor (C) Emotional Stability, the factor (A) Warmth) between addicts and none-addicts for the benefit of addicts.

. The factors (Sixteen Factors for Cattell) which have more contribution in amphetamines abuse predication are the two factors (the factor (Q) Self-Sufficiency, the factor (M) Imagination).

. There are statistically significant differences at the level of or less in the trends of study population members whose ages less than years and study population members whose ages more than and less than years in the factors (the factor (A) Warmth) for the benefit of the study population members whose ages more than and less than years, and for the benefit of the population members who have intermediate and secondary qualification.

. There are no statistically significant differences at the level of or less in the trends of the married members of the study population the single members of the study population

Main Recommendations: . Development of a specialized guidance program to reduce the impact of the imagination on the

amphetamines addicts. . Interest in setting recreational, social and cultural programs, which occupy leisure time of the

society members and reduce their tendency to imagine and thus their addiction to amphetamines. . To work on promoting the self-confidence of the amphetamines addicts, so as to limit the impact of

self-sufficiency factor weakness on their behavior. . Interest in promoting the incorporeal side of the amphetamines addicts so as to increase their

resistance against amphetamines due to weakness of their self-sufficiency factor. . To enlighten amphetamines addicts about the danger of this addiction in order to reinforce their self-

protection, the thing that makes them resist the factors that caused them to addict specially their trend toward imagination and their sense of and self-sufficiency factor.
