簡史 Brief History

1928 年臺北帝國大學成立之初，以原臺北高等農林學校

校舍為基礎，圖書館亦於同年 3 月由總督府營繕課負責興建

館舍，稱為「臺北帝國大學附屬圖書館」。1945 年臺灣光復，

同年 11 月 15 日政府接收「臺北帝國大學」，更名為「國立

臺灣大學」，圖書館亦同時改隸，溯至本館創設，至今已有

80 餘年歷史。

圖書館新館自 1986 年 7 月規劃施工以迄落成歷經 12 年，

於 1998 年 11 月正式啟用。新館建築以山牆、拱窗作為舊總

圖書館建築語彙的延伸，具有承先啟後的意義；而對稱穩重

的造型亦有傳達知識殿堂的意涵。自此，各式服務邁入新的

里程，新館集中校總區原有 34 所院系圖書館室，既有效紓

解過去分散式人力配置的窘困，提供集中典藏空間，又解決

讀者以往費時奔波各館室間查詢資料之辛勞，並進而提供多

元化、專業化與效率化之服務：如延長開放時間、增加借書

冊數與借期、提供更多電子資源與數位化館藏、啟用全國首

創的隨選資訊系統及舉辦藝文展覽等等。

National Taiwan University (NTU) was originally established

as the Taihoku Imperial University in March 1928 by the Japanese

colonial government. The library was built in the same year to

support academic research. With the end of World War II in 1945,

the university was handed over to the government of the Republic

of China and changed to its current name. As a result, the library

has become the National Taiwan University Library.

The NTU Library as it is today officially opened to the public

in November 1998 after 12 years of planning and construction.

The new building was designed in the spirit of the original building:

robust and symmetrical, it retained the arched windows, gables

and piazza, providing a sanctuary for study. Most of the university’s

previously dispersed departmental libraries have been integrated

and the library is now able to provide a comprehensive library

service: longer open hours, extended loan periods, a centralized

and expanding collection, increased electronic resources &

digitized materials, an IOD (Information on Demand) system, art

exhibitions and so on.

Library CommitteeThe Library Committee consists of professors from each college as well as student representatives who advise on library operations and developments.

Acquisitions DivisionThe Acquisitions Division is responsible for acquiring research materials in all formats for the library. This division is also in charge of donations, exchanges, journal subscriptions, invoice payments and budget control.

Bibliographic Services DivisionThis division is responsible for cataloging, classifying, book processing and the maintenance of the library's bibliographic database.

Reader Services DivisionThis division oversees the maintenance of all materials except the multimedia and special collection in the Main Library, and manages all the library circulation services, including the Course Reserve service.

Subject Services DivisionThis division is responsible for providing reference services, bibliographic instructions, supporting the teaching and research of university faculty, as well as maintaining contact with various university departments and institutes.

Special Collections DivisionThis division is responsible for the collection, preservation, and reader services for the library’s special collections, digital archives and notable acquisitions.

Multimedia Services DivisionThis division is responsible for the collection, preservation, management, production and readers services for the library’s multimedia collections.

Library Extension Services DivisionThis division is responsible for providing library tours, library orientations, publication of library manuals and brochures, and organizes exhibitions for the library’s collections.

由於校區分散及歷史淵源，目前除總圖書館，尚有法律

Due to its historical background and dispersed campuses,

in addition to the Main Library, the University Library system

also contains two site libraries: the Law & Social Sciences

Library and the Medical Library. There are also six departmental

libraries for the departments of Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry,

Oceanography, Library & Information Science, and Law. While

all the libraries provide circulation services, the processes of

acquisition, cataloging, and administration support are conducted

from the Main Library.

臺大人文庫 NTU Collected Works

承蒙川流基金會董事長李華林博士（1957 年藥學系畢

業），余舜華博士（1959 年農化系畢業）及鄭富美女士（1964

年護理系畢業）3 位校友慷慨捐款贊助，打造專屬臺大人典

藏空間，收藏豐富多元的臺大人著作，彰顯臺大人整體學術

能量。其於 2007 年本校校慶開幕，迄今已收到 600 餘位校

友贈書逾 7,000 件。

The NTU Collected Works room was funded through generous donations from three NTU alumni: Dr. Hwalin Lee, Chairman of the Chuan Lyu Foundation (Class of 1957, School of Pharmacy), Dr. Shon Yu (Class of 1959, Department of Agricultural Chemistry), and Ms. Zheng Fu-mei (Class of 1964, Department of Nursing). The NTU Collected Works officially inaugurated on November 15th, 2007 on the university’s anniversary. It maintains archives of publications by authors associated with NTU. It highlights the academic achievements of NTU faculty, staff, retirees, alumni, and current students. To date, the archive has received over 7,000 book donations from over 600 alumni.

In the basement are the university dissertations and publications, the reserve collection, individual collections & closed stacks. Aside from the main study area, the library provides a 24-hour study room, a center for photocopying services, a spacious and comfortable conference hall, and a learning commons. The Taiwan Indigenous Peoples Resource Center is also located on this level.

學習開放空間 Learning Commons2006 年本校教務處教學發展中心與圖書館共同籌畫「學習開放

空間」，分為諮詢小間、會議室、投影區與沙發區等區域，是提供

學生輕鬆閱讀、上網搜尋資料或三兩聚集進行小型讀書會、課業討

論、語言交換的好地方。

In 2006, the NTU Library, in cooperation with the NTU Center for Teaching and Learning Development, created a Learning Commons on the B1 floor. The Learning Commons is divided into four areas: Discussion Room, Conference Room, Projection Area, and Lounge Area. Students may choose to read in the relaxed environment, browse the internet, or conduct language exchanges. It is also suitable for small study and discussions groups.

全館尚有 66 間研究小間，4 間討論室及 e-Corner 無線上網專區，各樓層皆備置檢索電腦及影印室。

The Main Library houses 66 closed study carrels, four group discussion rooms and e-Corners for WiFi access on the second, third, and fourth floors. Computers for searching the library’s online catalog and photocopiers are provided on each floor of the library.

法律暨社會科學院圖書分館（簡稱法社分館）位於徐州路校

區，為地上 2 層、地下 1 層之獨棟建築，樓地板面積約 3,000 平

方公尺，法社分館另轄「經濟學研究所圖書室」、「法律政治研

究圖書室」2 個專門圖書室。2009 年 7 月法律學院遷回校總區，

另於校總區法律學院萬才館成立法律學院圖書室，庋藏法律學科

專業書刊、各級法院裁判書彙編等資料。

法社分館所轄各館室藏書約 50 萬冊，中外文期刊 2,800 餘種，

其中繼續訂購及獲贈紙本期刊、本國政府出版品、聯合國資料等

連續性出版品約 560 餘種，訂購電子資料庫 36 種，提供讀者社會

科學、法律學之專業書刊及電子資源之閱覽與學科諮詢服務。

此外，法社分館承繼日治時期臺北帝國大學、臺灣總督

府高等商業學校所藏之法政與經濟主題、國際聯盟（League of

Nations）資料等共約 10 萬餘冊珍貴書刊，其中有關臺灣研究圖書

3,100 餘冊，包括官廳、統計、一般文獻、法政經濟文獻、產業經

濟報告、物價與貿易、地理風物、社會、經濟史，以及法規等。

內容豐富且珍貴，為研究日治時期臺灣法政經濟之重要參考資料。

社會科學院遷院計畫新大樓的建築工程，為知名建築大師 --

2013 年普立茲克建築獎得主伊東豐雄（Toyo ITO）所設計，法社

分館將配合遷院時程，計畫 2014 年初完成搬遷。法社分館新館樓

層為地下1樓至2樓，使用樓板面積4,645平方公尺（約1,405坪），

藏書容量約 46 萬冊，閱覽席位 432 席。其中位於一樓的閱覽廳，

以 88 支樹狀柱體與屋頂滑順相接，形成 130 片天窗所構成通透、

明亮的場域，打造如同在森林群木包圍下享受閱讀樂趣、汲取知

識的環境，一樓書架採用竹集成材製成，配合樹狀柱體不規則間

距，書架呈現弧形排列，形成極具特色的閱讀空間。

The Law and Social Sciences Campus holds one college-level

branch, the Law and Social Sciences Library, and two institute-level

branches, the Law and Political Sciences Research Library and Library

of the Graduate Institute of Economics. In 2009, the

College of Law moved back to the main campus, and a

departmental-level branch, the College of Law Library,

has been established to support the research needs of

faculties and students.

The Law and Social Sciences Library and its

branches house a collection of 500,000 books and

2,800 journals, among which 560 titles are under

continuous subscription. The library also subscribes to

36 databases, and provides readers services, subject

guidance, management and maintenance to the law

and social sciences collections.

Due to its historical background, the Law and

Social Sciences Library also inherited legacies passed

down from the Taihoku Imperial University and the

Taihoku College of Commerce. These collections are

precious research materials on the economics, politics,

and law of Taiwan under Japanese rule (1895-1945).

The new College of Social Sciences building was

designed by renowned Japanese architect, Toyo Ito,

who is the 2013 laureate of the Pritzker Architecture

Prize. The Law and Social Sciences Library will be

moving to the new site in 2014. With its tree-like pillars,

skylights , and curved bamboo glulam bookshelves, the

new library building hopes to create a dreamy reading

and studying environment where readers would feel

like sitting down under a tree in a forest.

With the completion of the new library building,

the Law and Social Sciences Library envisions becoming

the center of law and social sciences collections in

Taiwan, and strives to provide better services for its

library users.

法社新館樓層分配

國立臺灣大學醫學院圖書分館（以下簡稱醫分館）是國

內歷史最悠久且館藏最豐富之醫學圖書館，其發軔可追溯到

1900 年 4 月，時稱「臺灣總督府醫學校圖書室」，1936 年

改為「臺北帝國大學附屬圖書館醫學部分室」，1945 年臺灣

光復，更名為「國立臺灣大學醫學院圖書分館」，並沿用迄

今。1989 年 4 月遷至現址；1991 年 2 月臺大醫院圖書室與

醫分館合辦；1992 年 11 月及 1994 年 7 月護理系及公共衛生

學院先後將其圖書資料移至醫分館。自此，醫分館擔負起提

供醫學校區醫學資訊與服務的功能，主要服務對象為本校醫

學院、公衛學院之教職員工生及臺大醫院之醫護人員，服務

人數逾 1 萬人，同時亦開放給校外讀者使用。

醫分館館藏旨在支援及配合本校醫學校區之教學、研究

與醫療服務，以健康科學（Health Sciences）相關資料為主要

蒐藏範圍，蒐藏之資料類型包括圖書、期刊、視聽資料及電

子資源等，目前館藏量已達 33 萬冊以上，並設有 RFID 自助

借還書機，增加讀者借還書之便利性。另外，為提昇校區同

仁之人文素養，培養學生的人文關懷，醫分館特設置醫學人

文區，專架陳列臺灣醫療史、臺灣醫界人物傳記、醫學校區

發展歷史、醫學與人文等主題之相關資料。為推廣館藏與服

務，醫分館亦定期舉辦各項活動，歡迎大家踴躍參與。

醫學院圖書分館 Medical Library

National Taiwan University’s Medical Library is the oldest

medical library with the largest medical collection in Taiwan.

Founded in 1900 along with the Medical School of Taiwan

Governor-General’s Office, it was merged with the Taihoku

Imperial University in 1936, and was renamed the Medical

Branch of Taihoku Imperial University Library. Its present name

was adapted after WWII with the renaming of National Taiwan

University. The library moved to its current location in April 1989.

After combining collections with the Medical School Affiliated

Hospital Library in 1991, the Department of Nursing in 1992 and

the College of Public Health in 1994, the Medical Library became

the medical information service center for the Medical campus. In

addition to serving NTU faculties and students, the library is also

open to the general public.

The Medical Library aims to support the teaching, research,

and healthcare services of the university’s medical and health care

faculties, staffs and students, thus the library’s collection focuses

on health sciences and its related subjects, including biology,

chemistry, and psychology. Currently, the library holds more than

330,000 items, including books, journals, audiovisual materials

and electronic resources. SelfCheck RFID systems are equipped in

the library to enhance its circulation services. In order to advance

humanism and humanities in medical education and healthcare

services, a Medical Humanities Area has been

established, displaying resources in related fields,

such as books about Taiwan’s medical history. Library

tours, orientations, and many other activities are held

at the Medical Library to promote its collections and

services.

醫分館樓層分配

本館館藏書刊資料，以配合校內師生教學研

究之需要為主，舉凡文、理、社會、醫、工、農、

生物資源、管理、公衛、電資、法律和生命科學等

各領域之圖書、期刊、視聽資料等均予收藏。截至

2012 年 12 月底止全校庋藏圖書已逾 404 萬冊 / 件、

期刊19,000餘種、資料庫560餘種、電子書2,604,000

餘種、電子期刊 49,000 餘種、報紙近 30 種，多媒體

資源逾 27 萬件，為國內大學收藏資料量最多的圖書

館。

本館自 2004 年起開始有系統徵集網路上免費

且具學術價值資訊，並建置本校機構典藏（NTU

Institutional Repository）系統提供全國研究人員多元

而豐富的研究資料。目前徵集具體成效有：免費電

館藏Library Collections

子書 108,000 餘種、免費電子期刊 10,900 餘種、學術資源網

超過 23,000 個、臺灣網站典藏庫超過 3,700 個網站及臺大機

構典藏系統 45,000 餘筆資料。

本館經指定為我國政府出版品寄存圖書館之一，並與 60

餘個國家地區共 7,000 餘個學術及研究機構維持出版品之交

換贈送關係，達到促進校際、國際間學術交流之目的。

圖書館收藏中外文古籍善本資料 20 餘萬件，厥為國內

各大學之最，如淡新檔案、明版線裝書、琉球歷代寶案、西

洋搖籃期刊本等均至為珍貴。

The mission of the library is to fulfi l l the teaching,

learning, and research needs of students and professors at the

university. The library collection includes books, periodicals, and

audiovisual materials in a wide range of disciplines, including the

humanities, the sciences, law, medicine, engineering, agriculture,

management, public health, electrical engineering, and social

sciences. The NTU Library currently houses more than 4,040,000

volumes and subscribes to more than 19,000 journals, 560

databases, 2,604,000 e-books, 49,000 e-journals, 30 newspapers

and nearly 270,000 audiovisual materials available, making it the

largest academic library in Taiwan.

In 2004, the NTU Library began systematically collecting free

online academic information resources, and has established the

NTU Institutional Repository for the use of researchers in Taiwan.

At present, the library has collected some 108,000 electronic

books and 10,900 electronic journals, in addition to the 23,000

academic information resource networks on the NTU Scholars

Gateway, over 3,700 websites on the NTU Web Archive System

and more than 45,000 entries of research material on the NTU

Institutional Repository.

The NTU Library is an officially designated repository for

government publications. The library also has agreements

with more than 7,000 academic and research institutes in over

60 countries/regions regarding publications, donations, and

exchanges.

In addition, the NTU Library holds over 200,000 volumes

of rare books in Chinese and other languages, the largest such

holdings of any academic library in Taiwan. Particularly valuable

are the Tan-Hsin Archive (1776-1895) (judiciary archive of Tamsui

and Hsin-chu area), Ming editions of stitched binding books

(from the 15th to 16th century), the Rekidai Hoan (1424-1867)

(diplomatic archive of the Ryûkyû Kingdom), and the collection of

15th century European incunabula.

此外，本校教授與校友不乏近代名家，圖書館主動蒐集

手稿真蹟，提供優質保存環境，以落實本校研究資源重鎮之

譽，目前已有王文興、林文月、臺靜農、白先勇、葉維廉、

王禎和、楊雲萍、殷海光、鄭騫、潘貫、慎芝與關華石、柏楊、

桂文亞、姚朋、裴溥言等名家手稿入藏。

本校前身「臺北帝國大學」設校初期便建立極具地域特

色之講座與研究所，從事中國大陸華南、臺灣及南洋地區有

關歷史、自然、產業、資源等各方面之調查和研究。其中臺

灣資料舊籍數量龐大，與國立臺灣圖書館和國史館臺灣文獻

館鼎足而三，為臺灣史資料重要的收藏機構。目前仍持續以

臺灣研究為收藏重點，不僅圖書、期刊、檔案手稿，亦積極

蒐藏相關影音資料。

本館自 1997 年起推動館藏數位化工作，10 餘年來已有

相當成績。臺大圖書館擁有豐富館藏，藉由國科會國家型科

技計畫，已完成淡新檔案等 6 大資料群之臺灣研究資源數位

化，並提供公開使用；其他中日西文善本、檔案手稿等等館

藏，亦逐步透過數位化，兼顧保存與推廣利用之效。臺灣舊

照片資料庫與日治時期統計資料庫，則是從日治時期舊籍中

摘取照片與統計資料等元素，創造新的特色館藏。本館亦積

極與校外典藏單位與私人收藏家合作數位化，由合作方提供

典藏，本館負責數位化工作，包含國民黨黨史資料、慈林基

金會典藏社會運動史料等都有豐碩成果。除了實體數位化外，

原生數位資源亦在關注之列，臺灣網站典藏庫與臺灣大學機

構典藏資料庫更是本校專注研究、關懷臺灣的最佳體現。

The NTU Library has also actively acquired the manuscripts

of the university's scholars and alumni, whose work continues to

be a valuable research resource. Currently, the manuscripts of

Wen-hsing Wang, Wen-yuen Lin, Ching-nung Tai, Hsien-yung Pai,

Wai-lim Yip, Chen-ho Wang, Yun-ping Yang, Hai-Kuang Yin, Ch’ien

Cheng, Kuan Pan, Chih Shen & Hua-shih Kuan, Yang Po, Wen-ya

Kuei, Peng Yo, Pu-yen Pei, and many others, have all been among

the Library’s collection.

NTU’s predecessor, the Taihoku Imperial University was

a pioneer institution for the study of Taiwan, southern China

and Southeast Asia. Workshops were established for historical,

natural, industrial, and resource research on area studies. Today,

National Taiwan University’s holdings is one of the three largest of

institutions in Taiwan, the other two being National Taiwan Library

and Taiwan Historica. In hopes of enriching the library’s Taiwan

related research materials, the library continues to focus on

acquiring books, journals, archives, manuscripts, and multimedia

materials in the field actively.

NTU Library began digitizing its rich and various collections

in 1997. After more than 10 years of effort, the library has

accomplished considerable results. Through the sponsorship of

the Taiwan e-Learning and Digital Archives Program, the library

has digitized six Taiwan-related subject collections, including the

Tan-Hsin Archives, and been providing open access to all the

digitized resources ever since. In hopes of better preservation,

promotion and use, the library is currently digitizing its rare

book and manuscript collections. Furthermore, by extracting

and reorganizing photos and statistics from books published

during Japanese Era (1895-1945), the library is able to create

new subject collections and add values to the original materials.

The Database of Taiwanese Old Photos and the Taiwan Colonial

Statistics Database showcase the library’s efforts in such

aspects. The library also actively seeks collaborations with other

institutions and private collectors. Prominent examples of these

efforts include the KMT Party History Database and the Taiwan

Democracy Archives held by the Chilin Foundation. In addition

to digitizing physical collections, the library is also concerned

with born-digital materials. The establishment of the NTU Web

Archiving System and the NTU Institutional Repository are notable

examples of the library’s focus on research and Taiwan related

studies.

書刊流通Circulation Services

館藏書刊資料以開架式陳列，供讀者利用。讀者可

將一般圖書借出，而期刊、報紙、參考資料、特藏資料及

公播版視聽資料則提供館內閱覽為主。本館提供讀者電子

郵件通知（E-mail Notice）服務，每日透過系統自動寄送

讀者個人借書之即將到期、催還、逾期及預約書到館等通

知。為方便讀者還書，並提供圖書代還服務，讀者於總圖、

各分館、及系所圖書室所借圖書，可歸還至總圖、法社

分館及醫分館及各系所圖書室等任一處。為服務本校讀者

便於利用跨校區圖書資料，圖書館亦提供校內圖書代借服

務，專任教師並可申請代借校內圖書及複印期刊資料，更

可選擇到館取件或傳送至系所辦公室。

The NTU Library collection maintains open stacks in

most areas (apart from the 5th floor of the Main Library).

Although books can be borrowed, other items such as journals,

newspapers, reference collection materials, special collections,

and public presentation editions of audiovisual materials

are for library use only. The library delivers free e-mail alerts

to its users when their borrowed items are due for return.

Users may reserve items that are currently on loan and they

will be informed by e-mail when the item is ready for pickup.

Furthermore, books borrowed from any site / departmental

library can be returned at any of the libraries. The library also

provides an Intercampus Loan Service. Users may request

books located in the Main Library, the Law and Social Sciences

Library, or the Medical Library. Moreover, full-time faculty may

request copies of journal articles from the above libraries and

collect the documents either at the library or at the office.

館際合作Interlibrary loan services

凡本校未收藏之資料，可透過館際合作服

務向國內外圖書館申請複印或借閱。本館加入

國內館際合作系統—「全國文獻傳遞服務系統

（Nationwide Document Delivery Service， 簡 稱

NDDS）」，以協助讀者向國內其他單位申請；

另亦透過 OCLC、Rapid ILL、大英圖書館文獻服

務中心、財團法人國家實驗研究院科技政策研

究與資訊中心或國外其他單位，取得國內未蒐

藏之資料。目前圖書館與國內 100 餘所大專院

校簽訂圖書互借協議，讀者可向本館洽借該單

位核發之借書證前往借書。多年來，圖書館受

理國內外機構向本館提出館際複印與借書之申

請案件，年服務量常居國內各館之冠。

Books and documents not held at the NTU

libraries can be borrowed from other libraries

in Taiwan through the Nationwide Document

Delivery Service (NDDS). The NTU Library is also a

member of OCLC, Rapid ILL, and the British Library

interlibrary loan services, so that materials held

abroad could be obtained. In addition, the library

has interlibrary loan agreements with over 100

academic libraries in Taiwan. Users may borrow

books from those libraries by applying for a library

card at the circulation desk or via the online

interlibrary loan system.

參考諮詢Reference Services

圖書館設有參考諮詢服務台，提供讀者有關圖書館服務

與資源使用的各項問題，並指導讀者蒐集研究相關資料。除

面對面的服務外，亦協助回覆讀者經由電話、電子郵件等途

徑所提出的問題。同時亦透過由館員撰寫之「參考服務部落

格」，引介實用的圖書館資源、書目工具，以及解答讀者常

問的問題，促進讀者的學習和研究。

Reference librarians will answer questions about library

services or resources in person, by phone or by e-mail. Further

guidance is provided on the use of various reference tools, and

can be found on the “Reference Service Blog.” They also deal

with queries and aid users in learning and research.

學科服務Subject Services

學科服務的主要任務在於支援教師的教學與研究，並強

化學生的學習能力。圖書館設有學科館員，為系所與圖書館

間的聯繫窗口，協助系所教師辦理課程指定參考資料、專業

書刊推薦、至課堂上教導圖書館利用、資料庫及電子資源講

習等事宜。同時，辦理各項資訊素養課程與培訓活動，以提

升學生查詢資訊、評估和運用資訊的能力。此外，亦不定期

透過使用者調查研究，深入了解師生的教學、研究和學習需

求，以提供切合其需求的服務。

The major mission of Subject Services is to support the

teaching and research of NTU’s faculty and to improve the

learning abilities of students. Subject librarians act as liaisons

between the library and the university’s colleges, schools, and

graduate institutes, and assist faculties with their course reserves,

readers’ guidance and library resource orientations, such as how

to use databases and electronic resources. The library also offers

all kinds of information literacy courses for students to improve

their abilities in searching, evaluating and using information.

With user studies held from time to time, the library is able to

understand the needs of its users in hopes of providing better

services.

多媒體服務Multimedia Services

因應跨平台多媒體時代的來臨，本館主動蒐集、整理

國內外具教育性與教學相關的多媒體視聽資料，提供讀者教

學、研究、自學及休閒娛樂。同時配合課程所需，蒐集相關

教材，輔助教師教學提高學生學習效益。每月製作音樂主題

節目及由專業影評人針對館藏撰寫專文介紹，以深入淺出的

方式為讀者提供不同角度的欣賞觀點。服務內容包括：iPad

音樂主題、影音 @Online 系統、音樂頻道聆賞服務、有線電

視選播服務、影音部落格、數位學習網、視聽資料借閱服務

及大小團體使用室借用服務等。

The NTU Library collects a wide range of educational and

course related multimedia materials and provides broadcasting

services for education, research, studying, and entertainment.

The Multimedia Services Center staff also consults academic

departments concerning the selection of items for the multimedia

collection. The library aims to make traditional teaching more

lively, to accommodate different learning styles and to encourage

self-studying and continuing education. With a monthly music

program and movie reviews written by professional reviewers,

the library hopes to broaden readers’ horizons by providing

diverse viewpoints. The Multimedia Services Center provides

services such as music introduction on the iPad , the Information

on Demand system, radio music programs, selective cable TV

programs, multimedia services blog, e-learning, audiovisual media

circulation, and group viewing rooms.

資訊服務Information Services

本館選用 INNOPAC 為圖書館自動化系統，1993 年正式

啟用，名為「臺灣大學圖書館資訊系統（Taiwan University

Library Information Processing System, 簡稱 TULIPS）」，讀者

可隨時隨地透過網際網路查詢館藏目錄、個人借閱狀況，自

行辦理線上續借或預約圖書。

為便利讀者檢索國內外文獻，圖書館提供多種各學科領

域的資料庫、電子期刊與電子書等電子資源，以查詢索引、

摘要與全文資料，讀者在校區內可透過網路全天候查詢，部

份電子資源亦提供本校師生自校外連線查詢使用，以充分配

合教學研究之需。

本館亦提供 RSS（Really Simple Syndication）服務，讀者

依個人之興趣與需求，訂閱不同的 RSS 頻道後，即可透過

RSS 閱讀器讀取本館相關網頁之即時更新內容，RSS 頻道包括

本館最新消息、新書目錄等，等同為個別讀者量身打造之個

人化資訊服務。

因應行動裝置日漸普及，本館自 2011 年推出行動版網

頁以及免費應用程式（App）「NTU Library」下載安裝。讀者

可使用行動裝置查詢本館館藏目錄、線上續借、預約、進行

閱讀分享、以及掃描圖書條碼自動查詢館藏等。

The NTU Library adopts INNOPAC as its library information

management system, TULIPS, the Taiwan University Library

Information Processing System, is accessible from the NTU

Library website. The library began using the system in 1993, since

which time readers have been able to search the library catalog,

access their circulation records, and renew/request books via the

internet at any time.

To facilitate literature searches in Taiwan and abroad, the

NTU Library subscribes to a substantial number of databases,

e-journals, and e-books across various disciplines. Many of these

electronic resources can be accessed from any computer onsite

or remotely.

為增進讀者對圖書館館藏與服務之瞭解，並提升圖書館

形象，本館經常舉辦各種推廣活動，如展覽、參觀、演講、

資源利用課程等，並編製各式文宣簡介與出版品，期望讀者

善用本館資源，培養獨立研究與自我學習能力。本館亦透過

圖書館網頁、館訊、電子新聞服務、社群網路等多種傳播管

道，發布圖書館最新消息、動態及服務概況等資訊，使讀者

能獲得最即時的訊息。

The NTU Library organizes exhibitions, tours, lectures, and

workshops that are designed to help readers to make the best

use of the library and its resources. The latest information about

library services and activities can be found on the library website

or social network, or received via e-mail and RSS.

The NTU Library offers several RSS (Really Simple Syndication)

feeds for use in a RSS reader or RSS-enabled web browser. By

subscribing to RSS feeds, users can receive up-to-date information

such as library news and new acquisitions. It can be tailored to

suit individual needs and requirements.

Due to the exponential growth of mobile devices, the

library has launched a mobile app, NTU Library, for Android and

iOS devices and has established a mobile website in 2011. Users

are able to access and search the library catalog, view ones’

circulation records, renew or request on-loan materials using their

mobile devices.

校史館 / 博物館群Gallery of NTU History/

NTU Museums

陸

校史館展示廳座落於舊總圖書館二樓中央閱覽室，於

2005 年 6 月 22 日揭幕；舊總圖於 1998 年被臺北市政府指定

為古蹟。校史館設立後，廣泛徵集校史文物、老照片，並進

行口述訪談，策劃一系列校史記憶的特展與活動，旨在延續

臺大記憶、凝聚臺大向心力、傳承臺大精神。

為展示本校自 1928 年創校以來的豐厚學術標本，自

2007 年 11 月起啟動「臺大博物館群」，由圖書館負責規畫

整合全校 10 所標本室或小型博物館（人類、動物、植物、

昆蟲、地質、醫學、物理、農推、校史、檔案）的推廣活動，

以善盡臺大對社會大眾的教育責任。

To showcase the unique and prestigious materials,

specimens, and documents collected since 1928, NTU launched

the “NTU Museums Cooperation and Development Plan” in 2007.

The library is in charge of planning, coordinating, promoting and

managing common affairs between the ten members within the

NTU Museums Group, which includes the Gallery of NTU History,

the Museum of Anthropology, the Geology Museum, the Heritage

Hall of Physics, the Insect Museum, the Agricultural Exhibition

Hall, the TAI Herbarium, the Zoology Museum, the Museum of

Archives, and the Museum of Medical Humanities.

The Gallery of National Taiwan University History was

formally established in June 2005. The gallery is located on the

second floor of NTU’s old main library, at the site of the original

central reading room. The building itself has been listed as a

historic monument under protection of the Taipei city government

in 1998. The gallery began collecting various landmarks in the

school history and oral history from distinguished alumni. The

gallery also organizes various activities and exhibitions showcasing

of NTU’s history. The aim of the gallery is to preserve NTU’s

memories, introduce visitors to the university spirit, and form a

common sense of identity among members of the school.

臺灣原住民族圖書資訊中心Taiwan Indigenous Peoples Resource Center

柒

受行政院原住民族委員會之委託，2006 年本館於地下一

樓建置臺灣原住民族圖書資訊中心，廣泛蒐集臺灣原住民族

相關資料，加以組織整理、典藏保存並提供閱覽使用，透過

建立與部落互動的機制，服務原住民族，並豐富原住民族研

究資源。目前臺灣原住民族相關主題館藏涵括中西文圖書、

期刊、多媒體視聽資料、電子資料庫達 13,000 餘冊 / 件。

In 2006, as part of a project commissioned by the Council

of Indigenous Peoples of the Executive Yuan, the NTU Library

established the Taiwan Indigenous Peoples Resource Center on B1

of the Main Library. The center has collected, classified, cataloged,

archived, and made accessible to library users a wide range of

resources related to the indigenous peoples of Taiwan. The center

has also organized various events and activities in promotion

of indigenous culture and literature. At present, the center has

a collection of more than 13,000 books, journals, periodicals,

multimedia items, and electronic databases.

之研究資源與服務，居亞洲領先地位。

The NTU Library staff members are committed to the

development of the library collection and enhancement of its

services. It is a world-class academic library which specializes in a

wide range of subjects, and continually strives to meet the study,

research, and development needs of the university. Taiwan related

studies are currently a priority in terms of collection, development

and services provided. However it is expected that the NTU

Library collection will continue to play a leading role within

the Asia Pacific region. By providing high quality information

resources in a variety of disciplinary areas, NTU Library aspires to

be the world’s leading information center for Chinese language

resources.
