7.12.15

[Therein are] gardens of perpetual residence which the Most Merciful has promised His servants in the unseen. Indeed, His promise has

ever been coming.19:61

Surah Maryam is about servitude to Allah, and mercy. If you don't feel that you are عبد اهلل, a slave of Allah, you are عبد الشهوات, a slave of your desires, and are deprived of the mercy of Allah.

The more you feel the servitude to Allah, the more you will realize your mistakes, and repent, leading to the way of salvation. You will confess your sins, which will increase your faith, and do more righteous good deeds.

In Jannah there are eternal gardens. In this life, a garden requires work and maintenance, otherwise it is overgrown. The bigger the garden, the more care and expenditure is needed. Even the most perfect garden in dunya will have disturbance in the form of insects. The gardens within Jannah are stress free, needing no maintenance.

There are no worries in Jannah, no misery, sickness, change, or corruption.

Jannah is the mercy of Allah, a consequence of the servitude of the human being, the promise of the Most Merciful. Allah gave this promise in your worldly life, as an encouragement for you to remain obedient. It is a mercy when Allah gives you a promise. When you feel yourself going backwards, remember the promises of Allah, for عباد الرحمن, the slaves of the Most Merciful.

There are two kinds of servitude to Allah.

Servitude by force. This is for the disbelievers, who don't choose to be slaves of Allah, and are forced into servitude through the decree, and they don't do anything to show their servitude. This kind of forced obedience does not earn any reward or praise. They speak very well of Allah, know that He is the Creator and Provider, but their actions don't show it.

Servitude by choice. These are the real slaves of Allah, doing everything for the sake of Allah, worshipping Him alone. This kind of servitude is rewarded and praised. These are عباد الرحمن, the slaves of the Most Merciful, for whom Allah promised eternal gardens. Allah called them عباده, His slaves. They are slaves of Allah by choice, by the mercy of Allah, and Allah showers them with His mercy because they are His slaves. A slave looks to his Master for everything.

These slaves of Allah haven't seen Him or Jannah, it is all unseen. The promises and the rewards promised are all unseen. When Ad Dajjal will come, he will claim to be the lord, and will have Jannah and hellfire with him, and everyone will be able to see them. Those who believe in Allah without seeing Him will recognize that it is not possible, that the promises have to be unseen. They will see the word كفر written in his forehead, and will know he is a liar. The promises are unseen in life, and the faith must be very strong and firm in your heart. Your test is to believe in the unseen that Allah tells us. Imagine what the devotion of these slaves of Allah would be if they could see Him.

The Messenger of Allah صلى اهلل عليه و سلم said : وا إلى حاجتكم.

Allah has some angels who look for those who celebrate the Praises of Allah on the roads and paths. And when they find some people celebrating the Praises of Allah, they call each other, saying, "Come to the object of your pursuit.' " He added, "Then the angels encircle them with their wings up to the sky of the world." He added. "(after those people celebrated the Praises of Allah, and the angels go back), their Lord, asks them (those angels)----though He knows better than them----'What do My slaves say?' The angels reply, 'They say: Subhan Allah, Allahu Akbar, and Alham-du-li l-lah, Allah then says 'Did they see Me?' The angels reply, 'No! By Allah, they didn't see You.' Allah says, How it would have been if they saw Me?' The angels reply, 'If they saw You, they would worship You more devoutly and celebrate Your Glory more deeply, and declare Your freedom from any resemblance to anything more often.' Allah says (to the angels), 'What do they ask Me for?' The angels reply, 'They ask You for Paradise.' Allah says (to the angels), 'Did they see it?' The angels say, 'No! By Allah, O Lord! They did not see it.' Allah says, How it would have been if they saw it?' The angels say, 'If they saw it, they would have greater covetousness for it and would seek It with greater zeal and would have greater desire for it.' Allah says, 'From what do they seek refuge?' The angels reply, 'They seek refuge from the (Hell) Fire.' Allah says, 'Did they see it?' The angels say, 'No By Allah, O Lord! They did not see it.' Allah says, How it would have been if they saw it?' The angels say, 'If they saw it they would flee from it with the extreme fleeing and would have extreme fear from it.' Then Allah says, 'I make you witnesses that I have forgiven them."' Allah's Messenger added, "One of the angels would say, 'There was so-and-so amongst them, and he was not one of them, but he (ملسو هيلع هللا ىلص)had just come for some need.' Allah would say, 'These are those people whose companions will not be reduced to misery.'

The unseen is a test of your devotion. If you can see and then worship Allah, it is not a great thing.

Allah never does contrary to His promises

The word [مأتيا] comes from the verb أتى, to come smoothly and easily. So the promises of Allah will come sooner or later, smoothly and easily. All the troubles of the world are easy because they are the mercy of Allah. Remember this to give you hope to go on.

They will not hear therein any vain speech - only

[greetings of] peace - and they will have their

provision therein, morning and afternoon

19:62

Listening is a means of enjoyment. This ayah talks about the enjoyment of listening. The background sounds create an ambiance, completing the perfection of the setting, and increase enjoyment. Everything in nature has a sound.

Imagine being in a perfect setting, and the people around you being noisy and disturbing, spoiling everything. Hearing is one of the means of enjoyment. This ayah doesn't tell us what they will hear in Jannah, but what they will not hear.

Everyone who goes to Jannah will be reformed and pure, the tests in life having nurtured them. The impact of reform is seen in your behaviour and tongue. No one can go to Jannah on account of their good deeds; extra rewards and purification is needed to be in the neighborhood of Allah and the messengers. So Allah gives special bonus. You will wear the gowns of Jannah, and your talk will be so pure. Nothing will hurt your heart.

Here there will be no vain talk, let alone sinful words. Vain talk is useless, gaining no reward or punishment, except a waste of time. If it was beneficial and enjoyable, Allah would have given it to the dwellers of Jannah. But it has no benefit, so it will not be heard in Jannah. In dunya, the slaves of Allah protect themselves from vain talk.

Nowadays we face so much لغو in the social media. It is not haram, but it's useless, and senseless, with no benefit. Only كالم اهلل and كالم الرسول is beneficial.

People in Jannah are above vain talk, so certainly there will be no sinful words. If something isn't in Jannah, it is surely troublesome and harmful. Backbiting, slander, etc are clearly sinful, but what about wasting time by talking about politics and sports? It is not haram, but useless. The people in Jannah will all be one heart, thinking the same, loving the same, with no dispute. When you find someone in dunya in the same wave length, it is a taste of Jannah.

They will hear only peaceful sounds around them.

Joyful greetings, happy sounds, beautiful voices of the angels, the tasbeeh and praise of Allah, which will be the breathing of the dwellers of Jannah, the sounds of the houries singing, all these sounds will resound in Jannah, combining with the nature sounds of birds and the gentle breeze, water falling with tinkling sounds. All these and more will be the sounds of Jannah. Most of all, the sound of Allah, talking, will overtake all other enjoyments. Imagine our Creator, the Most Merciful, speaking to us!!

Music is not beautiful, it is made to appear so by the shaitan.

In dunya, Allah provides for you. In Jannah too, you will have provisions. There will be food, drink, different pleasures, all halal and available all the time. The ولدان املخلدون, the eternal serving boys, who resemble pearls, will scatter around, serving whatever you wish, in the exact estimation you want. This food and drink will be absolutely guilt free, will not cause any health problems.

In addition to all this, food will be served specifically in the morning and evening, two meals, which will be eaten with absolute enjoyment and ease. So there will be unlimited food, all the time, and then two specific meals, breakfast and dinner. These will be long drawn out, مفصل ▶ elaborate and detailed, with abundant dishes.

All this description is to show us that Jannah is real and tangible

In Jannah, the whole day will be like dawn, the time after fajr, which is the most beautiful time. There will be no no morning and night, a most beautiful atmosphere. In dunya, this time is very short, but in Jannah, it will be permanent. The dwellers of Jannah will know when to sleep, even though it will not be dark, when their curtains are drawn automatically, in estimation of nightfall. They will sleep for enjoyment, not out of necessity. They will not need the rest, but they will sleep for pleasure.

Whatever we have in dunya is nothing compared to the akhirah.

This is Jannah!

It is inherited by the slaves of Allah, those who enjoy the servitude by choice. The more the servitude, the higher the status, and the more inheritance.

The main characteristic needed to be a slave of Allah is taqwa. Only then would you be able to repent, increase your faith, and do righteous good deeds, remaining on the way of salvation. Taqwa makes you be conscious of your actions and utterances, and prevents you from following your desires. Taqwa is a very important concept of servitude to Allah.
