AN DREW STU ART. But do we have the thief’s de scrip -tion?

GAUTHIER RALPH. In the first place, he is not a thief atall.

GAUTHIER RALPH. No.JOHN SULLIVAN. Per haps he’s a bar ris ter, then. ALL (ad lib). Jolly good, Sullivan. Well played, Sullivan.

Well done, Sullivan.PHILEAS FOGG. The Daily Tele graph says that he is a

NEWS PA PER MAN. The ar ti cle Mr. Fogg is re fer ring to is on page one of The Daily Tele graph, 2nd Oct. 1872. the world grown smaller?GAUTHIER RALPH. Cer tainly. I agree with Mr. Fogg.

The world has grown smaller, since a man can now goround it ten times more quickly than a hun dred yearsago. And that is why the search for this thief will bemore likely to suc ceed.

AN DREW STU ART. And also why the thief can get awaymore eas ily.

PHILEAS FOGG. Be so good as to play, Mr. Stu art.AN DREW STU ART. You have a strange way, Ralph, of
