Dear Parish Family, members, a endees, guest and seekers, The Lord be with you! Christmas is on Monday this year. Do you KNOW what that means? Sunday, Decem‐ber 24, is Christmas Eve!!! Our Christmas Masses begin SUNDAY AFTERNOON at 4. We had to cancel the 1pm Mass and move the regular Sunday 6pm Mass to SATUR‐DAY at 6pm. Let me repeat that: WE HAD TO CANCEL THE 1pm MASS AND MOVE THE SUNDAY 6pm MASS TO SATURDAY AT 6pm.

10:15am Call to worship / 10:30am Mass ‐ English ‐ Fr. Mike A parent asked me, Father Mike, what do I say to my child, when they complain that they have to go to two Masses in one weekend? Here are 2 ideas for how to re‐spond:
A. “For the same reason you go to School 5 Days a week, instead of once. Christ‐mas is a Special occasion, a Holy Day, in which God wants to TEACH us some‐thing special, different from what we will learn on the 4th Sunday of Advent.
B. “For the same reason why during a soccer or baseball tournament on the weekend, teams will play 2 or 3 mes!!! Going to Mass on the 4th Sunday of Advent, and then the next day for Christmas, is a sign that we ENJOY cele‐bra ng what God has given us in the Eucharist.
Have you visited the Na vity collec on in Cronin Hall? It is a great way to get ready for the Celebra on of Christmas. Last years Bilingual Posada extravaganza and Concert was our first a empt at combining these two parish events. We learned a lot from this first experience. Un padre me pregunto, “Padre Mike, que le digo a mi hijo cuando se quejan de que
enen que venir a dos Misas en un fin de semana?” Aquí les doy dos ideas de co‐mo responder: A. “por la misma razón por la que vas a la escuela 5 días a la semana envés de uno.
Navidad es una ocasión especial, un día de Obligación, donde Dios no quiere ENSEÑAR algo especial, algo diferente de lo que aprendemos el 4to domingo de Adviento.
B. “Por la misma razón por la cual cuando hay un tornado de futbol o beisbol en un fin de semana, los equipos juegan 2 o 3 veces!!! Asis r a Misa el 4to Domingo de Adviento, y luego el siguiente día para Navidad, es una señal de que gozamos celebrar con Dios lo que nos ha dado en la Eucaris a.
¿A visitado la colección de nacimientos en el Salón Social? Es una manera de pre‐pararse para las celebraciones de Navidad. La Posada Parroquial y concierto del año pa‐sado fue nuestro primer atento de combinar estos dos eventos parroquiales. Aprendimos mucho de esta experiencia. La Posada de es‐te año, que tendrá lugar el lunes, 18 de di‐ciembre, será completamente bilingüe y ten‐dremos una guía especial que los ayudara!
