On the occasion of Music China 2014, I would like to extend sincere greetings to all
the exhibitors and visitors.
Coming from a centenary tradition of innovation and craftsmanship, musical
instruments Made in Italy are famous worldwide for the advanced technology,
unique design and excellent quality. Their outstanding performance brings
wonderful sonic experiences to the most demanding professionals and high-level
learners as well.
Today the Italian craftsmen inherit the know-how brought forth by generations of
musical instrument makers of Renaissance. With their devotion and passion, they

Alberto Giordano 是意大利热那亚市的小提琴制作家。他制作传统的意大利式小

Alberto Giordano is a violin maker based in Genova, Italy, he makes violins,
violas, cellos following the old italian tradition. The primary source of inspiration
of Alberto Giordano comes from the violin “Il Cannone” belonged to Niccolò
Paganini, made in 1743 by Giuseppe Guarneri “del Gesù” housed in Genova, of
which he made a number of copies; a violin made by Alberto Giordano was played
by Ruggiero Ricci in his last CD “the legacy of Cremona”, 2001. The company
deals also in ancient and modern Italian violins.

their fine production of stringed instruments: Fine Violins, Violas and Cellos, in

Inspired by the ancient and historical italian violin-making, the instruments are

Andrea Schudtz
Andrea Schudtz 是克雷莫纳的提琴制作家。他的父亲Pavel Schudtz带领他初次接

Andrea Schudtz is a violin Maker In Cremona. He took his first steps in the art
of violin with his Father Pavel Schudtz.He is graduated in IPIALL in 1995.His
instruments are made following the classical models of the Cremonese School,
such as Stradivari, Guarneri and Amati with a personal touch. His varnish is very
thin and elastic and the choice of the wood is excellent. These qualities make
his instruments very succesfull with musicians all over the world. He builds and
repairs violins, violas and cellos; he also restores all stringed instruments and their
bows and, under request, he also makes
copies of antique instruments.Many
famous players use his instrument in all
over the world.
The sound of instruments is r ich,

Fabio Bonardi is an Italian luthier specialized in plucked instrument construction
and restoration.
He graduated in 2007 from Civica Scuola di Liuteria in Milan as plucked
instruments builder and in 2009 as a restorer under the guidance of master luthiers
Lorenzo Lippi, Tiziano Rizzi and Gabriele Negri.
He builds steel strings guitars taking inspiration from the American historical
models like Martin. Each instrument is unique and built according to the techniques
of the ancient philological tradition of lutherie.
He restores philologically Italian mandolins like Embergher, Vinaccia, Calace and
nineteenth century Italian guitars like Guadagnini, Fabricatore and Filano.

联合会“安东尼奥·斯特拉迪瓦里”制琴师协会) 有超过60名会员，由来自克雷莫

The Consortium of Violinmakers “Antonio Stradivari” Cremona has around 60
members who are Master Violinmakers from Cremona and the surrounding area.
In cooperation with the Chamber of Commerce of Cremona and Associations of
Handcraft, the Consortium created the trademark of authenticity and origin “Cremona
Liuteria®”. This registered trademark guarantees that every certified instrument has
been handcrafted by a professional Master Violinmaker from Cremona.
The objective of this trademark is to protect against copies and to create a
transparent market. The showroom displays instruments, accessories and literature.

His guitars are built in the style of the 20° century great makers. The study and
analysis of the Antonio De Torres , Manuel Ramirez , Enrique Garcia and Hermann
Hauser guitars led him to build guitars with a very similar sound quality to the
originals coupled to modern performance level for contemporary musical use. He
exclusively uses well air-seasoned and carefully selected precious woods and all his
guitars are rigorously finished with French polish.
He built 10-12 guitars for year.

Cremona Violin Store & Workshop is a workshop situated in Via Robolotti in Cremona, right in the historic town centre, in the very heart of violin-making Cremona. In this same street Giovanni Battista Ceruti, a pupil of Michelangelo Bergonzi, son of Carlo Bergonzi, and his family had their workshop, and it was here too that the famous Cremonese composer, Claudio Monteverdi, was born.It is in this splendid setting that you can find our workshop, specializing on the sale
and purchase of antique and contemporary violins, violas, cellos, double-basses and bows. You may consult us for valuations and expert advice, as well as make use of the services of our team for the repair and restoration of your instruments.Part of the workshop is given over to making new instruments, including copies of classical models.In our workshop you will find competence, reliability and excellent customer service. Daniele Tonarelli 于1976年生于意大利克雷莫纳。 他1994年毕业于克雷莫纳国

Daniele Tonarelli was born in Cremona in 1976. He received his diploma from the
International ViolinMaking School in Cremona in 1994 and opened his workshop
in via Beltrami 8 in 1997. His participation in violin making competitions has won
him recognition: honourable mention in Bagnacavallo - 1992, “Foschi” prize in
Baveno - 1993, special mention in Bagnacavallo - 1996, “Conia” prize in Baveno -
1997, special mention in Moscow - 1998, and at the Triennale in Cremona - 2000,
2003 and 2009.

Dimitri Atanassov
Dimitri Atanassov 出生于 Sofia，并且在布拉格艺术学院读取了硕士学位（提琴专

Born in Sofia, Dimitri Atanassov completed his Master’s degree (violin) at the
Prague Academy of Arts. As a Concertmaster of the APO (NZ) he performed with
some of the leading international artists of our time. Dimitri took up violin making
in 2002, inspired by violin maker Ian Sweetman and the old Cremonese masters.
His instruments are popular for their quality
of sound and playability. He has also attended
violin making and restoration classes in the USA
(Andrew Dipper & Jeffrey Holmes) and France
(Jean-Jacques Fasnacht). He has exhibited in
Norway, Shanghai , New York and Los Angeles
and won 5th & 6th places at the International
Competition in Pisogne, Italy, 2011. His violins
are played in Europe, USA, Asia, Australia and

Fabrizio Di Pietrantonio 于1964年出生于意大利里窝那，就读佛罗伦萨美术学院。

Fabrizio Di Pietrantonio was born in Livorno in 1964 and attended the Accademia
di Belle Arti in Florence. At a later date, he became involved in violin-making, and
in 1990 became a pupil of Roberto Ignesti, with whom he recovered a substantial
part of the models, moulds and tools belonging to the Igino Sderci’s laboratory.
Thanks to this and to his apprenticeship with Sderci’s pupil, he fallowed the
tradition started in Milan by the Bisiach family and subsequently transferred to
Florence with Carlo Bisiach and Igino Sderci.

Galli Musical Strings is an Italian manufacturing company founded in 1890 with
a long tradition in the production of musical strings & accessories. Gallistrings

computerized machineries, sophisticated technologies and innovative materials.

Fernando Salvatore Lima was born in 1962. His perseverance allowed him to seize the
essence of the great Italian masters’ crafting art, especially the Cremonese ones.
His determination to achieve a sound similar to that of Guarneri del Gesù, enabled
him to build excellent sounding instruments, which are greatly appreciated by
accomplished musicians throughout the world.
Today he crafts copies of Stradivari and Guarneri del Gesù instruments, in his
workshop in Cremona, following the great masters’ traditional crafting methods.
He works with passion and dedication in order to make the highest quality
instruments with the finest sound and exquisite beauty.

Lorenzo Lippi is a luthier specialized in the construction of plucked instruments,

contemporary use.

More than 40 years of experience! The story of Maestro Giovanni Lucchi started
in 1971, when, he decided to replace the horsehair on his double bass bow
by himself. Curiousity, skill and passion soon turned him into a professional
bowmaker. In 1976 he was called by the institutions of Cremona to found the
Italian School for Bowmaking. He taught there for 35 years and he divided his
time between the school and his workshop. His passion for research pushed him
to reach a great technological result: the LucchiMeter, the tester that measures the
acoustic properties of wood. Among his customers, many great musicians as his
friend Maestro Mstslav Rostropovich. After his death, in 2012, his sons carry on his
work, with his same philosophy, passion and research for the finest quality.

Teaching the course “Construction of bowed instruments” at the Civic School of Violin Making in Milan that he graduated with excellence, Lorenzo Rossi launched his own shop in 2004.In 2008 he was awarded two silver medals in the categories of violin and cello at the National Violin Making Contest of Pisogne.In 2012 he was awarded the special prize for the acustical of copies of antique strigs instruments. In 2013 was awarded bronz medal to the International Antonio Stradivari 13° Triennale Competition Cremona in cello making.
After getting diploma in “Bowed instruments construction”, he restoration career attending the workshops held by Maestro Carlos Arcieri (New York). The participation in courses of international interest gave him an opportunity to compare different styles and methods leading him to developing a specific personal taste. Among the most important courses are: “Silicon Mold Making for the Reproduction of Bowed Instruments” held by M° Sharon Que, “Varnishing and Antichization Techniques of Bowed Instruments” held by M° Gregg Alf, “Set-Up and Sound Adjustment with the M° Paolo Sorgentone and Michele Mecatti (Florence), the seminars of M° Guy Rabut (New York).

When Victor Salvi assembled and designed his first harp in 1955 he was already a well-established harpist, playing for the New York Philharmonic and the NBC Orchestra conducted by Maestro Arturo Toscanini. Since then the Salvi harp established itself as an instrument of superior sound and reliability throughout the world. Every Salvi harp is manufactured with spruce from Fiemme Valley, the same precious wood that Antonio Stradivari used to make his violins.Today the same passion keeps guiding the creativity of Salvi craftsmen and researchers working side by side to make harps of a unique kind.

The Rivolta Family has been cutting and dealing wood for over a century. Now in
our fourth generation we buy and process the most beautiful wood for making
musical instrument. We deal with specific wood used in the making of stringed
instruments: Spruce, Maple, Ebony but also Cypress and many others. Among
those woods, Italian Alpine Spruce is our most important product: Stradivari
himself used this wood for his instruments.

Davide Serracini 于1978年出生在罗马附近的 Ciampino.

Davide Serracini was born in 1978 in Ciampino, near Rome .
Graduated from the Civica Scuola di Liuteria di Milano, learned from the masters
Lorenzo Lippi, Tiziano Rizzi and Aldo Illotta techniques for the construction of
plucked musical instruments, and the philological method used in the study
and reconstruction of ancient and modern instruments. His guitars are based
on a project that, taking inspiration from the great authors of classics Torres,
Hauser, Romanillos, develops on a personal line of simplicity and elegance. Every
instrument of its production is unique, it doesn’t follow a series production.
The current plan for
the classical guitar
is aimed at creating
an instrument ready,
with a high volume
a n d c o m f o r t a b l e .
Furthermore , great
attention is given to a
balanced sound on all
frequencies, a sound
that is “round”, warm
and deep, brilliant on
high frequencies

Paolo Sorgentone was born on 26th June 1961. When he was 17 years old, he
moved to Cremona attending the International School of Violin Makers where he
studied with Maestro Francesco Bissolotti and graduated in 1982.
Michele Mecatti was born on 7th of January 1964 in Napoli. In 1986 he graduated
at International School of Violin Makers in Cremona ander Maestro Vincenzo
Bissolotti.
In 1988 he moved to France to specialise in restoration with the teachers Pierre
Barthel and Bernard Sabatier and he worked in France until 1997. In 1998 Paolo
Sorgentone and Michele
Mecatt i opened a new
shop in Florence.
Besides the construction of
new instruments, baroque
instruments and copies,
they work in restoration
and maintenance of bows
and commerce.
