friend Mary who writes

I'd love to know more about your home town. Where is it and how many people live there? What is there in your town?

I have to stop now because I'm going to meet my best friend. We spend every afternoontogether...

Write a letter to Mary, who has just moved to a new house.

First of all, I hope you will be very happy in your new house. I look forward to hearing all about it.

My home town is in the South of Russia. It is quite a small town and about ten thousand people live there. The town has three schools, a station and different kinds of shops. There are lots of things to do in my town. You can go to the swimming pool or the cinema, or you can walk in the beautiful park in the centre of the town. There are also several cafes and restaurants.

Tell me more about your best friend. What does she look like? What is she like? Do you have a lot in common?

you! You know that I live in Novosibirsk, in the centre of my country. Winters here are usually severe with the temperature going down to 35 degrees below zero! With such temperature outside, I usually try spending my time at home, or visit my friends. Sometimes, when it is warmer, we go sledging and skiing. There is a big skating rink in the central park, so we go skating, too! I should say that I don’t like winters very mush because of cold. I think that if we had warmer winters, I would like this season more. Now tell me, please, about your new mp3-player!
