Ingestion : Rinse mouth. Give at least two glasses of water to drink (dilution). Do NOT inducevomiting. Get medical attention immediately.

Inhalation : Move person to fresh air. Avoid physical exertion of the victim. Get medical attentionimmediately.

Further information : Excessive inhalation may cause lung oedema, which may become manifest after a fewhours and which is aggravated by physical exertion: rest and hospitalization are essential.

Fire-fighting MeasuresNote: See also " Stability and Reactivity "

5

Extinguishing media

Suitable : water fog, alcohol resistant foam, powder, CO2.

NOT to be used : Regular foam may not be effective.

Special precautions : Use water to keep containers cool.

Protective equipment : Wear self-contained breathing equipment.

Explosion hazards : Vapours are heavier than air and may travel along the ground. Never use welding orcutting torch on or near drum, because the vapours can ignite explosively.

Fire hazards : Combustible

Hazardous decomposition products : CO2, CO, NOx, various hydrocarbons.

6 Accidental Release Measures

Protective equipment See section : 8. " Exposure controls/ Personal protection "

Small spills : Small spills and remainder can be absorbed on inert material like sand, earth, vermiculite, etc. Collect the spill in a suitable container. Flush the area with plenty of water.

Large spills : Persons without suitable protection must leave the area. Eliminate all sources of ignition.Provide for sufficient ventilation. Dike material to prevent spreading or run-off to openbodies of water. Collect the spill in a suitable container.

7 Handling and Storage

Handling : Use only in well ventilated areas. In use, may form flammable/explosive vapour-airmixture above 100 °C.

Storage : Keep container tightly closed and in a well ventilated place. Keep away from acids or/andstrong oxidizing materials. Keep at temperature not exceeding 35 °C.

8 Exposure controls/ Personal protection

Skin : Wear suitable gloves.Preferred material: Butyl rubber.

Eyes : Wear eye/face protection.Preferred type: Close-fitting safety goggles.

Respiratory tract :
