The task required us to make a structure using After forty five minutes, the small blocks that spans as tall as it can within tower spanned around one an hour. After the structure has been made, meter with a cylindrical an opening for the plastic elephant is then shape. excavated to test the strength of the structure. Afterwards, a heavier block was thrown into the structure to test its strength.
After pulling a couple of bricks from the façade, the elephant has successfully entered the structure. However, during the An arch that was made through excavation highlights block throwing, the the structural performance as durable or tough upper structure has since it has withstood excavation. collapsed due to the amount of force that
the heavier block has exerted. A weaker throw made holes
around the structure. The collapse of the upper structure has revealed that the inability to cope the external force of a brick acted as a
failure mechanism.

Theory The structure is a mass construction building, which shows that there is a compression force along the blocks (Igloo & Tepee Comparison 2013). Compression force is shown through the arrows displaying an evenly distributed force. As a result, the structure does not collapse. In addition, the diagram with a hole in it portrays that even if some of the blocks were taken out, there is still stability in the structure because the compression forces are still balanced or at equilibrium.
