Independent PTOThe Hydraulic Independent PTO helps youincrease productivity. The M-Series comes witha standard 540 rpm Hydraulic IndependentPTO (1,000 rpm is optional on M8540/M9540).

3-Point HitchThe Category I & II 3-point hitches provide fastand simple attachment of rear-mounted imple-ments. Two external hydraulic cylinders pro-vide equal lifting force and smooth transfer ofhydraulic power for easy operation.

HydraulicsThe M-Series’ hydraulic pumps are now located onthe transmission case instead of on the engine. Thisshortens the oil flow path increasing efficiency.

Newly Designed Ultra Grand CabThe cab of our M-Series tractors has beencompletely redesigned. Rounded glass on thecab gives the operator more room and greatervisibility. The height of the cab offers moreheadroom, and most of the levers and switch-es have been moved to the right side consolefor easier access. For greater visibility, theexhaust pipe has been relocated and thewindshield now boasts a pantograph wiper.

Heater/Air ConditionerThe heater and air conditioner have beenimproved for the new M-Series. We’ve relocat-ed the air outlets to the dash tower to keepyou cooler in the heat and warmer in the coldby optimizing the air flow around the operator.

Digital PanelA new digital LCD panel makes viewing travelspeed, PTO revolution and hour meter infor-mation clear and easy.

It offersgreater visibility over the hood ofthe tractor allowing you to see agreater field of view especiallyduring loader operation. This hoodcan also be easily opened to pro-vide convenient maintenance ofthe engine, AC condenser, radia-tor and air filter.

HeadlightsThe M-Series now comes with halo-gen lights with corner lamps. Theselights are not only more efficient; theyalso provide more illumination fromdusk to dawn.

Re-Engineered SeatsReclining, weight-adjustedseats are standard equip-ment on all M-Series mod-els. These comfortableseats were specificallydesigned to absorb shock,significantly reducing oper-ator fatigue. We’ve alsoadded a convenient manu-al holder in the seat back.(ROPS model)

Improved Steering Wheeland Column DesignThe tilt steering column of the newM-Series boasts a couple new fea-tures. Designed to accommodateoperators of many different sizes,the wheel and shuttle lever tilttogether. To complement this fea-ture, an easy-to-use foot pedal hasalso been added.

Flat Deck (ROPS model)Full-Flat Deck (Cab model)When operating a tractor, space comesat a premium. The M-Series flat deckneatly repositions most of the opera-tional levers, including main shift andrange lever, auxiliary control lever,hand-throttle, position draft control leverand PTO clutch lever, to the right of theseat. This offers the operator morelegroom and far more comfort.

CDI (Center Direct Injection) EngineAll of the five M-Series tractors are equipped with Kubota’s revolutionarycenter-direct injection system (E-CDIS) engine. New V3007-DI and V3307-DIThe V3007-DI and V3307-DI have been specially designed andbuilt for M-Series tractors M5040, M6040 and M7040. The V3007-DI and V3307-DI are compact but powerful engines, offering anincreased engine displacement of 186 cubic inches (3.1L) and203 cubic inches (3.3L) respectively. The M-Series tractorsequipped with these high perfor-mance powerhouses provide hightorque rise giving them the ability totake on even the most heavy-dutyapplications.

Tier II Emission RegulationsThe new and cleaner engines of theKubota M-Series tractors comply with Tier II EPA emissionregulations.

Low Noise and Low VibrationTo help reduce operator fatigue and stress, the V3007-DI andV3307-DI have been specially designed to minimize noise andvibration. This is accomplished through several innovative tech-nologies. Noise is reduced through a ladder frame crankshaftsupport, giving the engine a stiffer structure and thus lower noise.Also, gear train on flywheel side reduces the gear chatteringnoise from crankshaft of torsional and bending vibration.Vibrationis lowered through the application of compact, built-in balancers.

Increased PTO PowerTo give the M-Series even more power and to make working withlarge implements easier, Kubota has increased PTO horsepoweron three of our M-Series models. The M6040 offers a sturdy 55HP; the M8540 a hearty 75 HP; and the M9540 a full 84 HP.

With the Hydraulic Shuttle,a column-mounted lever, convenientlylocated next to the steering wheel,does all the work. Boost productivity,especially while using loaders, by elim-inating the need to depress the clutchevery time you change directions. Andwhen attaching implements, ourimprovedinching fea-ture is easy toperform, giv-ing you thesame feel asa half-clutchoperation.

Transmission Parking Lock(M8540 & M9540)An easy-to-operate transmission park-ing lock, located beside the main shift,is now independentfrom the mainbrakes. This lock ishighly durable andreliable, providingprecise parking onany terrain.

HEAVYDUTY

HydraulicsThe hydraulics on the M-Series are state-of-the-art.External hydraulic cylinders improve the lifting power andoffer easier maintenance. The M-Series offers a largepump capacity of 17gpm (M8540/M9540). As a result, thefront loader cycle times are short, increasing productivityand facilitating operation. One (SCD) hydraulic remotevalve is standard, with the option to add up to 2 more, plusan optional flow control valve to control the oil flow volume.

Bevel-Gear Front AxleThe bevel-gear front axle pro-vides the M-Series with greaterall-around maneuverability. Itenables M-Series tractors atighter turning radius than everbefore, an amazing 55 degrees.This makes easy work of jobs intight spaces. The front-axle oscil-lating angle is also 20% greateroffering increased stability onuneven terrain. Limited SlipDifferential on the front(M7040/M8540/M9540) andDifferential Lock on the rear arestandard features, offeringincreased stability and traction onchallenging ground conditions.

Hydraulic Independent PTOPulling, lifting, cutting or baling; the standard 540 rpm hydraulic indepen-dent PTO (1000 rpm is optional on M8540/M9540) of the Kubota M-Seriestractors makes your toughest work easier. Self-modulation engagement witha light touch means implements like a rear cutter engage smoothly. ThePTO brake engages when the clutch is shut off and securely holds the PTOshaft. The PTO clutch can be hydraulically engaged and disengaged onthe go. This means mowing, operating hay equipment or spraying orchardsare all made more efficient.

3-Point HitchThe Category I & II (M5040/M6040/M7040) and Category II(M8540/M9540) 3-point hitches provide fast and simple attach-ment of rear-mounted implements. On the M5040, M6040 andM7040 the lift capacity is 3307lbs (1500kg) and on the M8540 andM9540 it is 4630lbs (2100kg), with an option of 7055 lbs (3200kg).

Floating Lift RodsThe floating lift rods are standard (both side: M8540 and M9540,left side only: M5040, M6040, M7040) giving the M-Series tractorsa smoother ride and enhanced traction while using the 3-pointhitch, especially on uneven terrain.

Telescopic Lower Link EndsThe telescopic lower link ends, standard on all M-Series models,further facilitate implement attachment.

High Capacity OptionLarger diameter cylinders boost lifting power by as much as 50%,perfect for large implements and larger farm uses. They areoptional on the M8540 and M9540 with the F8/R8 transmissionand standard on the M8540 and M9540 with the factory installed12F/12R transmission.

The M-Series Front Loader puts powerand visibility front and center.

All New DesignThe Kubota M-Series Front Loader has undergone a full model change.The new loaders have dramatically increased lifting power, perfect forfarm use. Its design has also been fully integrated into the new tractordesign with a slanted boom to match the tractor’s hood. This not onlygives the M-Series a sleeker look it supplies the operator with more visibil-ity and clearer sight lines to the bucket and loader sides.

FRONTLOADER

Improved BucketSome recent improvements in theloader bucket include a round back,which increases durability and makes

dumpingsand andsoil easier.

Protected Cylinder TubesTo better protect the tractorhydraulics and offer the operatormore visibility, the hydraulic tubes areneatly tucked inside the loader boom.Hydraulic tube covers further provideprotection from wear and tear.

Lifting Power and HeightTwo separate boom cylinder fulcrum points (Powerposition and Height position) give you the option toincrease the M-Series Front Loader lifting power orheight based on your needs. When using the palletfork or bale spear you may want to set the fulcrum togive you more height. For bucket work, a lower set-ting offers more power.

FrameThe frame of the front loader main-tains its sturdy, thick steel frame, butits design has been simplified byremoving braces and connectors.This helps to lessen effort and short-en the time it takes to attach theloader and offers increased visibility.

Rubber CapsA new feature, rubber caps, prevent grease drips helping tokeep the operator’s clothes clean.The caps also give the loader amore appealing look.

Joystick ControlLocated in front of the controlconsole for easy access, the joy-stick offers you the ability to con-trol the movement and speed ofthe loader with a single lever.The Series Circuit makes simul-taneous boom and bucket oper-ation possible, while the

Regenerative Bucket DumpCircuit enables quick dump-

ing for efficient operationwith quick cycle times.

Quick-Mount Attach/DetachAttach or detach the front loader in moments without the use oftools. The boom stands and mounting pins make this task a snap,allowing an extra measure of productivity and tractor versatility. Asingle-lever Hydraulic Quick Coupler (option), available for theloader’s hydraulic fittings, allows you to release all four lines at once.

Euro-type quick hitchA standard feature on the Loaders, the quick hitch willlet you quickly attach and detach a variety of Euro-type attachment. Kubota original bucket, pallet fork,and bale spear are available.

4-Bar LinkageThanks to an upgraded 4-bar bucket linkage, the roll-back and dumping angle has been increased forquicker scooping and dumping.

Kubota Shockless Ride(KSR)The KSR absorbs loader shockand reduces operator fatigue.This option is perfect if yourtasks include a great deal oftight turns or lifting and dumpingof heavy loads. It effectivelytakes the “bounce” out of han-dling round bales.

Single-Lever Hydraulic Quick CouplerThe optional quick coupler allows the operatorthe ability to attach all four hoses at once. Thismakes attaching and detaching quick and easy,even when you’re doing it often.

3rd Function ValveThe optional 3rd function valve broadens thescope of the front loader operation byenabling the use of agrapple bucket and var-ious other hydraulicallycontrolled attachments.The 3rd function valvecan be activated withbuttons located on thegrip of the joystick.

Hydraulic Self-Leveling ValveThis optional feature allows the opera-tor to raise or lower the loader boomwhile keeping the bucket level to theground. This will help prevent spillswhen carrying soil or sand and willmake pallet handling smooth andeasy. This function can be switched offfor times when bucket angles are moreadvantageous, for instance, duringexcavation.
