Ciso Esperanza ang BOD at Chairman ng Resource Mobilization ng Kabayanihan Koop kasama ang kanyang asawa sa katatapos na Annual General Assembly ng Victo National na ginanap sa Stotsenberg Hotel Clark Pamapanga, Philippines mula Mayo 19-29, 2012. Ang nasabing kaganapan ay ang pagtitipun-tipon ng lahat ng Kooperatiba sa Pilipinas na kaakibat ng Victo National na isang Secondary Cooperative. Ang tema ng nasabing pagititpon ay “Transforming Member’s Live and Communities”, ito ay sa pakikiisa ng pagdaigdigang pagdiriwang ng mga Kooperatiba na may temang “Cooperative Enterprises Building a Better World”.

Kasabay ng pagdiriwang na ito ay nagkaroon ng konperensya na naglalayong mapaunlad ang socio-economic development ng mga kooperatiba. Naging tagpagsalita si G. Butch Aquino na kung saan ay nagdiwang ng kanyang kaarawan ng nasabing araw na yaon. Inilunsad din ng Victo national ang mga bago nitong produkto, ang Victo Book Project at ang search for envi-friendly cooperative.

Samantala, bitbit ang baner ng Kabayanihan Koop nagparada sina G. Esperanza at G. Magbalete kasama ang 600 na mga deligado ng iba’t-ibang kooperatiba na kasapi ng Victo national.

Agad-agad at masayang ibinahagi at ibinalita nila G. Narciso at G. Magbalete ang kanilang mga natutunan at ekspiryensa sa nasabing pagtitipon sa mga opisyales ng Kabayanihan Koop, na kung saan ay nakatutok habang isinasagawa ang nasabing pagtitipon kahit pa sila ay nandito sa Saudi Arabia.

Malugod namang tinanggap ni G. Magbalete ang Affiliate Awards of Membership Certification mula sa Victo national.

Ito ay nagpapakita lamang na talagang malayo na ang nararating ng Kabayanihan Koop bagamat ito ay wala pang isang taon ng ito ay tinatag. Kaya naman lubos ang pasasalamat ng mga opisyales ng Kabayanihan Koop sa mga miyembro nito na patuloy na sumusuporta, nakikiisa at nakikipagtulungan sa mga proyekto nito. Kaya naman bilang tugon ay mas higit na pinag iigting nga mga opisyales ang kanilang paglilingkod sa lahat ng mga miyembro nito.“Mabuhay po tayong lahat!

The Development Bank of the Philippines is eyeing a partnership with a Saudi Arabian bank to provide loans and remittance programs for overseas Filipino workers in the Kingdom.

A delegation from the DBP led by president and CEO Francisco del Rosario Jr. brought up the topic during a visit to Saudi Arabia last April 20 to 21.“The DBP is exploring more joint business opportunities with Bank Al-Bilad, such as a pilot remittance loyalty program and a salary loan program for OFWs in Saudi Arabia,” the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) said.

It added Bank Al-Bilad chief executive officer Khalid Al Jasser, and general manager and head of Bank Al-Bilad-ENJAZ Remittance Sami Hamed Al Rajhi said they hope to “maintain a close business partnership with DBP.”

During its visit, the DBP delegation also discussed joint marketing initiatives with representatives of Bank Enjaz Al-Bilad headed

May isang lalaki na 2 linggo ng naglalakad sa disyerto, hanggang isang araw may nakita syang isang poso (deep well); ngunit ng umpisahan nyang bombahin ito walang lumalabas na tubig, naglinga linga sya at nakita nya ang isang basong tubig. Tuwang-tuwa sya at agad nilapitan ito at nang kunin na nya ito, meron itong isang papel na mensahe sa ibabaw at ang nakasulat ay “Huwag iinumin, ibuhos ito sa poso”. Nagdalawang isip sya sapagkat sya ay uhaw na uhaw na talaga, subalit sya ay nag take ng risk na ibuhos ang isang basong tubig sa poso, at agad na sinimulan bombahin ito, ilang minuto lamang ay lumabas ang napakaraming tubig. Tuwang tuwa sya at matapos makakuha ng sapat ng tubig nilagyan nya uli ng tubig ang baso at idinikit ang mensahe.

Sa totoo lang aminin man natin o hindi ang kinikita natin ngayon dito sa Saudi ay di hamak na mas malaki kaysa kinikita natin sa Pilipinas dati. (eh kaya nga hanggang ngayon andito pa tayo eh). At nakakasiguro ako na bago natin naisipan mag abroad ang binitawang salita natin ay ito “para makaipon”. Natupad ba ang sinabi nating iyan?

Kahit ang ating Panginoong Hesus ay nagbigay sa atin ng aral sa “Parable of the Talents”. Na ang mga natatanggap nating biyaya maliit man o malaki ay nararapat na gamitin at palaguhin. Kabilang na sa mga yaman na ito ay ang ating oras, talino at pinansyal. Ang ating bang panahon ay nauubos sa mga di kapakipakinabang na gawain? Ang talino ba na binigay sa atin ng Panginoon ay nagagamit natin sa pagpapaunlad ng ating mga sarili at ng ating kapwa? Ang pinansyal ba natin ay napupunta sa tama at napapalago ba natin ito? Kung puro negatibo ang sagot natin sa mga tanong na naturan, malamang isa tayo sa “Fool Servant” na tinuring ng ating Panginoon.

Sabi ni Bo Sanchez, isang kilalang Financial adviser na nagsagawa nang mga financial talk sa mga OFW sa Dubai, Qatar, US, Europe at ba pa. Dapat daw habang maliit ang ating kita ay dun tayo nagsisimulang mag-impok(invest). Ilaan daw dapat natin ang 20% ng ating kita sa pag-iimpok . Ito raw ay isang wholistic approach kabilang ang disiplina, paggalang sa MayLikha, pagmamahal sa sarili, pagpapahalaga sa ating mga mahal sa buhay at pagrespeto sa kapwa. Napakalawak pala ang konsepto ng pag-iimpok (investment), na kanyang dinetalye sa kanyang libro.

Ilang taon na ako sa Saudi, di pa rin ako nakakaipon, sabi ko kulang kasi ang kita, pero pinalad naman akong maragdagan ng sweldo, subalit hi-di pa rin ako makaipon, again sa kadahilanang kulang parin. Mabuti na lamang at nabuo ang Kooperatiba, nakapagsimula akong makapag ipon kahit sa pa 20 riyal lang buwan-buwan, at least nakakaipon ako. Itong nakaraang araw pinakita sa akin ng GM ng kooperatiba ang computation ng dividends. Ito ay ang paghahati-hati ng kita ng Kooperatiba sa mga miyembro nito. Laking tuwa ko kasi hindi lang pala ako nag-iipon nag iinvest na rin pala ako. Thanks God I’m no longer a Fool Servant.

Bawa’t kasapi ng mga pangunahing (pri- mary) kooperatiba ay may isang (1) boto na nagpapakita ng pantay- pantay na karapatang bumoto. Ang mga pumapangalawa (secondary) o pumapangatlong (tertiary) kooperatiba ay may karapatang bumuto bilang kinatawan ng mga kasapi, ngunit ganyang mga kooperatiba ay mayroon lamang limang (5) boto. Ang mga boto ng mga kinatawan ay ipalalagay na mga boto ng mga kasapi

Since the concept of the group is Cooperative, a series of meeting was conducted and drafting of the Articles of Cooperation and By-Laws was done in compliance with the Co-operative Code of the Philippines and coordinated to the Philippine Overseas Labor Office (POLO), Al-Khobar for Accreditation to the Embassy of the Republic of the Philippines.

A registration of KSC is now on process to the Cooperative Development Authority (CDA), with principal office located at VICTO National, 1

st Street, Beverly Hills, Lahug,

Cebu City, Philippines. This is in compliance with the requirement from the CDA that the scope of membership of the Co-operative are all the Overseas Filipino Workers (OFW) working at Al-Othman Holding Co. in Kingdom of Saudi Arabia where Al-Othman Holding Co. operates and their immediate family members residing in the Philippines.

A member of KSC should donate to the Bayanihan Mutual Aid System (BMAS) Fund of SAR10.00 quarterly.

If ever, the member is terminated from his employment, the KSC member thru the BMAS Fund will receive a financial assistance of 20% based on the Share Capital of the member.In case, the death of the member, the member-beneficiary will receive a financial assistance of 30% based on the Share Capital of the member.

Upon the death of the immediate family of the member, the member receives from the BMAS Fund 30% based on the Share Capital of the member as financial aid to his family.

KABAYANIHAN while in Philippines

Kabayanihan Koop is very lucky to have its members and officers who are currently in their vacation yet actively working for Kabayanihan Koop sake. Our Board of director and CBU Chairman Ciso Esperanza and Mr. Armando Magbalete represents Kabayanihan Koop in Victo General Assembly at Pampanga.

On the other hand our Treasurer Mr. Joel Meras went to Cebu to get our By Laws approved by the CDA and all other pertinent documents necessary for our Kabayanihan Koop affiliation to the Philippine Embassy in Riyadh. He also visited some cooperative offices for coordination with some of the Kabayanihan project plans. KABAYANIHAN SA KABAYAN RESTAURANT

Kabayanihan Koop officials recently signed an agreement for an open contract with the owner of Kabayan restaurant. In lieu with this

kabayan restaurant every Friday.

Kabayanihan Koop officials are finally decided not to link anymore with Al-Othman Company. Thus, the group will provide services and support exclusively to its members particularly in the matter of all its products, disregarding the company of its members. One of its first action is in providing training, when they conduct it outside with the higher fees as compare to its previous training where the primary purpose before is to empower the Filipino working in Al-Othman companies, but this time their aim is synonymous with the perspective of capital building, where the primary concern is its members shared resources. This also with the CDA requirement that the services should only limited to its members.

Ronald Remoreras takes Chairmanship for this year Al-Othman Inter-Company Basketball League

The .group had conducted series of meeting to finalize the whole program of the event, which includes budgeting and policies. Kabayanihan Executive Committee composing of Chairman Antonio Roldan of NADA Herd, Malvin Baladjay of Takween, Jojo Morana of SAAF, Noel Espartero of SSBS and Merlin Flores of NADA Process, submitted the proposed plan to the top management of Al-Othman company and to Takween CEO in Al-Khobar. At this point, NADA SSM Manager Mr. Mohd. Al-Otaibi alreadu conformed with the plan, but still awaiting for the part of Takween management that promise to give their answer on or before the end of this month. Kabayanihan Koop officials decided to handle the said event even though it is not part of their one year plan, in response with the Al-Othman management plan to handle the event unless there will be a group who will promise to compromise with the event paraphernalia. While Kabayanihan Koop already decided to extend its support exclusively only its members they accept the responsibility for the spirit of kabayanihan among all OFW working in al-Othman company and Takween Advance Industries. Furthermore, since Mr. Remoreras is a chairman of Sports, Youth and Gender Committee, this league I is just his first project and expect more sports related project that will be initiated under the leadership of Mr. Remoreras committee.

Kabayanihan Koop Board of Director and Chairman for Sports, Youth and Gender Committee will lead this year Al-Othman Inter-company Basketball League, voted as League chairman by the cooperative Board of Director during the meeting conducted last March 2012 at Kabayanihan Restaurant. On the other hand Jay Manalo KCC Board of director and chairman of Collection and Delinquency will act as the vice chairman.
