Foreword
BSC6900&6910, as a critical network element (NE) in the
Huawei SingleRAN solution, adopts the advanced multiple
radio access technologies (RATs), IP transmission mode, and
modular structure.
As the BSC is widely used, it is necessary to introduce its new
hardware and features on new version V900R015. Upon
completion of this course, you will be able to know the
GSM&UMTS V900R014 – V900R015 Delta for hardware of the
BSC6900&BSC6910.

ESAUa Board
An ESAUa board collects and pre-processes the data reported by NEs. The
ESAUa board then uploads the pre-processed data to the M2000 for
analysis. The Nastar collects and analyzes the data reported by the ESAUa
board on the M2000 side. The functions of the ESAUa board are as follows:
Manages data pre-processing tasks based on the MML commands issued by Nastar.
Pre-processes the data reported by NEs (filters and collects data reported by NEs
based on Nastar task rules).
Uploads the pre-processed data to the Nastar through the M2000 for service
analysis.

BSC6910 UMTS Configuration Principles
The UMTS dimensioning principles of BSC6910 is basically the same as BSC6900.
The only difference is that the dimension of an SPUb board and DPUe board is
replaced by the dimension of a EGPUa board.
The number of EGPUa boards on the CP and UP are calculated separately based on
the capability requirements of the network on the CP and UP. The following
formula is used:
Total number of EGPUa boards = Number of EGPUa boards used on the CP +
Number of EGPUa boards used on the UP + One backup EGPUa board at least +
Two EGPUa boards used for resource management.
