La prueba 1000 Millas Sport de la República Argentina es un sueño hecho realidad por la voluntad de un grupo de entusiastas nucleados en el Club de Automóviles Sport de Argentina.

En 1986 un grupo viajó para participar en la Mille Miglia, la legendaria prueba que se realiza cada año en Brescia, Italia. El entusiasmo despertado por estacompetencia fue el motor para comenzar a madurar la idea de realizar una prueba similar en la Argentina.

En 1989 esta idea se concretó, realizándose las primeras 1000 Millas Sport de la República Argentina. En la actualidad esta prueba es considerada la más importante del campeonato Nacional Sport Histórico de regularidad y formaparte del calendario mundial FIVA - Fédération Internationale des Véhicule Anciens- y se ha ganado un notable prestigio internacional.

Entre los corredores hay numerosas tripulaciones extranjeras tanto de Sudamérica, Estados Unidos y Europa, destacándose algunos de los protagonistasde las Mille Miglia italianas.

Un sueño / A dream

The “1000 Millas Sport” of Argentina is a dream come true through the motivation of a group of enthusiasts who are members of the Sport Automobiles Club of Argentina.

In 1986, a group of people travelled to Italy to participate in the Mille Miglia, the legendary race which takes place year after year in Brescia, Italy. The great enthusiasm for this competence led to the idea of start considering the organisation of a similar race in Argentina.

In 1989, this idea was put into practice and, therefore, the first 1000 Millas Sport of Argentina took place. Nowadays, this race is considered one of the most important races of the Argentine Sport Motor Vehicles Historic Regularity Championship. It is part of the world calendar FIVA – International Federation of Ancient Motor Vehicles– and it has gained considerable international prestige.

Among the racing drivers, there are plenty of foreign crews, some of them come from South America, USA and Europe, standing out some major figures of the Italian Mille Miglia.

Participan vehículos de incalculable valor histórico que, conducidos por binomios de diferentes lugares -más de 17 países se lanzan cada temporada a vivir esta aventura.

Las 1000 Millas es un evento donde la camaradería y el entusiasmo por manejar estos autos está por encima de la competencia.

En un entorno natural de espectacular belleza –Patagonia Argentina- más de un centenar y medio de tripulaciones son protagonistas absolutos de este exclusivo raid.

Tan sólo detenerse en la ruta para oír el paso de una rugiente Ferrari, apreciar la vanguardia tecnológica de un Alfa-Romeo de la década del ‘20, la soberbia presencia de un Mercedes de los ‘50, las delicadas piezas de una Bugatti ‘35, las suaves y elegantes líneas de los Jaguar o un potente gran turismo de los ‘60 o ‘70 es para deleitarse.

También podemos volver a ver en acción por estas tierras a los gloriosos Sport Prototipos nacionales de fines de los ‘60 y principios de los ‘70 como son las Liebres, los Baufer o un Huayra e incluso aquellas baquet Studebacker, Gardner o Packard de la décadadel ‘20.

En suma las 1000 Millas Sport se transformanpara pilotos y expectadores en una experienciaúnica.

Vehicles of an incalculable historic value which are driven by couples of different places – more than 17 countries – are embarked on this venture every season.

The 1000 Millas is an event in which comradeship and the enthusiasm for driving these cars are more important than the competition itself.

In a natural environment of spectacular beauty – Patagonia, Argentina - more than a hundred teams are the stars of this exclusive competition.

One can stop on the middle of the road just to hear a Ferrari roaring past, to appreciate the avant-garde technology of an Alfa Romeo of the twenties, the magnificence of a Mercedes of the fifities, the delicate parts of a Bugatti 35, the soft and elegant designs of Jaguars or a powerful Gran Turismo of the sixties or seventies.

One can also see the glorious national Sport Prototypes of the late sixties and early seventies like Liebres, Baufers, a Huayra or even those Baquet Studebacker, Gardner or Packard of the twenties.

In short, the 1000 Millas Sport is a unique experience for both racing drivers and spectators.

En el extremo sur del continente americano, seencuentra la conjunción perfecta de lagos, ríos,montañas, valles y estepa infinita.

El LLao LLao es la magnífica sede de las 1000 Millas. Ubicado en una pequeña colina entre los lagos Nahuel Huapi y Moreno, enmarcando por los Cerros López, Capilla y el majestuoso Tronador se encuentra el magnifico Hotel, desde donde se inician cada dia las etapas del recorrido de las 1000 Millas.

San Martin de los Andes, Villa La Angostura y El Bolson son los destinos de estas etapas. Un recorrido por los mas bellos paisajes de la Patagonia Argentina.

At the southern extreme of the American Continent, there is a perfect combination of lakes, rivers, mountains, valleys and infinite steppes.

A never-ending succession of imposing landscapes, a close contact with nature, a unique place where nature reveals its secrets and shows its magnificence at its greatest splendour.

The marvellous Llao Llao hotel is the venue for the 1000 Millas. It is located in a hill between Nahuel Huapi and Moreno Lakes, and it is surrounded by López, Capilla and the majestic Tronador hills. The different stages of the competition begin each day at the hotel.

San Martín de los Andes, Villa La Angostura and El Bolson are the places visited throughout these stages. It is a journey across the most beautiful sceneries of the Patagonia.

La prueba se divide en tres etapas con diferentes recorridos, todas ellas teniendo como punto de partida y llegada Lla Llao.

Primera Etapa:Llao Llao - Bariloche - Villa La Angostura - Paso Internacional Cardenal Samorè - Chile.

Segunda EtapaLLao LLao - Bariloche- Confluencia-Rinconada-Junín de los Andes -San Martín de los Andes

Tercera Etapa:Llao Llao – Circuito Chico – Villa Catedral – El Bolson – Arelauquen.

The event is divided into three stages with different routes. The Llao Llao hotel is the starting point and finishing line for each of them.

First stageLlao Llao – Bariloche – Villa La Angostura – Carde-nal Samore Border Crossing – Chile.

Second StageLlao Llao – Bariloche – Confluencia – Rinconada - Junín de los Andes – San Martín de los Andes.

Third StageLlao Llao – Circuito Chico – Villa Catedral – El Bol-son – Arelauquen.
