InDPolar即是“In-D-polar”，這一種「獨立北極熊」是獨立(independent)電影界另一奇特品種。一年一度的InDPolar國際動畫節，搜羅在題材、風格和製作技法上也充滿可能性的國際動畫，讓觀眾進入一個意想不到的觀影歷程，經歷獨立動畫作品的兩極性。THAT’S INCREDIBLE！

InDPolar means “In-D-polar”. This is another rare species of independent scene. The annual InDPolar International Animation Festival highlights animations with different topics, styles and techniques from all over the world. It brings the amazing experience to the audiences with the bipolarity of animations. THAT’S INCREDIBLE!

選擇了獨立電影這條路，就是路途如何艱苦，我們還是走了八個年頭，我們還是打算繼續走下去。

在2003年，我們想要為獨立電影多出一分力，成立了非牟利電影團體《藍空間》(InDBlue)。在沒有資助的情況下，以自負盈虧的方式，舉辦不同的活動。雖然，我們每年也沒有取得收支平衡，但總算汲取了不少難忘的經驗，結出了不少寶貴的成果。

三年前，我們原本打算在《InDPanda國際短片節》以外，新增「Polar」和「Bear」兩個電影節（合起來就是Polar Bear），但礙於資源的限制下，我們只是誕生了選映長片的《InDBear國際電影節》。去年，我們原打算在九月份舉行《InDPolar國際動畫節》，但因為我們的老拍檔換新裝，我們延期到現在，才把這隻充滿兩極性的InDPolar(獨立北極熊)帶到大家跟前。

隨著觀眾觀影習慣的轉變，我們也在不斷探索前面的路。姑勿論你平常選擇以何種方式欣賞流動影像，我們盼望你繼續進入電影院，欣賞我們每年花上不少心思和時間，搜羅回來的精彩作品。這三種獨特的熊族 ─ InDPanda、InDBear和InDPolar，會繼續為大家帶來世界最精彩的好電影。
