If you think you are beaten, you are.
If you think you dare not, you don’t
If you like to win but think you can’t,
It’s almost a cinch you won’t.
If you think you’ll lose, you’re lost.
For out in the world we find
Success begins with a fellow’s will
It’s all in the state of mind.
If you think you are outclassed, you are.
You’ve got to think high to rise.
You’ve got to be sure of yourself before
You can ever win the prize.
Life’s battles don’t always go
To the stronger or faster man.
But sooner or later, the man who wins
Is the man who thinks he can.

April showers have arrived which means that Spring
flowers are just around the corner. Soon we will be
looking for all kinds of entertainment and new
And speaking of entertainment; thank you to our donors
and to all who have assisted with raffle ticket sales on
the “Entertainment Basket”. We raised over $400.00 in
three weeks. I would also like to congratulate our
winner of the raffle draw, Cheryl Dodd of Suncor Energy!
This was the first fund raising effort for our club, this
year, but it won’t be the last. We need to build our
reserves for future events. This one was quite profitable,
so it will be encouraging to have a few more raffle ticket
draws and other fund raising events. Lenore and
members of the Ad Hoc Fund Raising Committee will be
busy this year.
One other effort that is still underway is the promotion
of our organization and lately, we have had a few
membership renewals, which is great. Thanks to
Deborah Porath, our new brochure will be available for
distribution in early May so that will be a great tool to
help us with advertising.
Also, I encourage all of you to check out our updated
Website: www.abfddc.com. Thank you to Marilyn Carter
who has been diligently working on transferring
information from the old website to this one and
populating it with current information.
I knew that we would be re-energized during April and I
also know that there is a lot more to come. Check our
