Event Title: Design and Construction of Water
RetainingStructures
Synopsis:
The course will cover the design and the construction aspects
andmethodologies related to the reinforced concrete and
pre-stressedconcrete water retaining structures as per BS8007 and
BS 8110. Thecourse will compare the salient features with respect
to the design ofwater retaining structures to EC2-Part3. The course
will also cover sometutorials and a Chartered Membership
Examination Question ofIStructE on water tank design
ResourcePerson andProfile:
Rajavel Inbarajan is a Chartered Structural Engineer and an
Examiner for
the prestigious Chartered Membership Examination of the
Institution ofStructural Engineers, UK.
He has more than 20 years of industry experience in the
design,construction, site supervision, investigation/assessment of
structures and
project management of very large civil & structural
engineering projectsin Singapore, Qatar, UAE and KSA. He holds a
Master Degree in ConcreteStructures obtained from the world
renowned Imperial College London.
He had conducted Courses/Workshop in Advance
StructuralEngineering with emphasis on the preparation of the
CharteredMembership Examination of IStructE, Water Retaining
Structures andInvestigation and Retrofitting of Concrete Structures
in Malaysia andSingapore in the recent past.
