Once again in the Fall, Phil plans to taketwo more classes, thus finishing out the yearwith only three to go! All of this equals muchtime, energy, and finances. We are so thankful for how the LORD hasbeen providing. We have been especially amazed at the provision of theLORD in regard to finances. All of the classes Phil has taken, as well asthose he plans to take over the summer, are all paid off! We rejoice inGod’s faithfulness!

Since our last newsletter, Phil has completed two more of his clas-ses, bringing the total completed to five. Lord willing, from June 30ththrough July 18th, he is scheduled to complete two more. Two semesterclasses within three weeks equals a very intense time! He would appre-ciate your prayers.

In addition to Summer classes, it is time to visit the work inSouth Africa. Lord willing, Amrie and the children will be flyingto South Africa on June 25th. They will be able to have some pre-cious time with family and friends, while Phil is busy with “thebooks.” Phil will then join them on July 24th. Besides the privi-lege of seeing family and friends, we plan to visit the work of theministry. Phil also needs to work on his South African permanent residence as his visa expires atthe end of 2014. Lord willing, we will all return to the States on August 28th.

Bibles for Africa

Every year, Brother Pieter Marais organizes a Bible trip to various countries north of SouthAfrica. Thus far, this has included the countries of Botswana, Namibia, Zimbabwe, Zambia, andAngola. The vision for Bibles for Africa is to place Bibles in the hands of those who have no ac-cess to Scriptures in their own language. The duration of the trip is normally three months, withdifferent teams coming and going during that time span.

Brother Marais is already busy with the Bible trip this year, and we are excited that fivefriends of ours from the States are going to be joining him for three weeks to assist with the work.They will be flying over with Amrie to South Africa to help her with the children throughout theflight. They will then be heading North to meet up with Brother Marais. After three weeks upNorth, they will be joining us in Ladybrand to see the work of the school and the ministry there.Please pray that God will make them a great blessing on the trip and use the time to deepen theirlove for the Lord and their service to Him.

Hope Christian Academy

We praise the Lord that we were able to accept eight new kindergar-ten students this year! Amrie’s sister, Joreth van der Merwe, joinedthe HCA teaching team and is doing well with the Kindergarten Class(pictured at right).Please help us, however, in praying for more staff. We still needteachers for our Grades 1-3 classroom as well as the Grades 4-9 classroom.
