1. Why are you seeking th e endorsement from Stonewall Democrats
of Dallas?
If I am fortunate enough to become the judge of Dallas County
Justice of th e Peace Precinct 5 Place 1 1w an t th e people I
serve to know I have the support of the Stonewall Democrats of
Dallas and thebroader Dallas L T community I want th e L T family
being evicted for questionable reasons to havea hearing where all
of their rights and th e laws are explained and enforced I want the
transgender jurorto feel respected and at home as she serves her
civic duty. And someday soon I hope to officiateweddings lots and
lots of weddings for every loving couple who wants to spend th e
rest of their livestogether With th e Stonewall Democrats of Dallas
endorsement I will be more able to earn th e trust andrespect of
those I serve
I have seen Stonewall Democrats of Dallas consistently and
visibly support and champion goodcandidates s ince I started
volunteering with the Dallas County Democratic Party in 2005.
Stonewall no tonly works with candidates to help them succeed but
Stonewall members are involved educated andvote I want to earn th e
Stonewall endorsement so that together we can reach more voters
andachieve the fairness equality and respect that every person is
entitled to from their Justice of thePeace. Together we can
guarantee the best service for the people of Dallas County if Iam
the next JP 5-
2. What are your plans to participate in a coordinated campaign
in the general election?
Although my race for Dallas County Justice of the Peace 5-1 will
be decided in th e primary process thiscycle I have participated in
every coordinated campaign since the 2006 cycle and I look forward
to beingpart o f the 2104 team again with the Stonewall Democrats
of Dallas. The reali ties of a race with 5candidates and a likely
run off scenario mean that I cannot predict what funds will be
available tocontribute to th e coordinated campaign. However I do
guarantee that I will participate whether itmeans wearing out my
shoes to get out the vote continuing to providing free legal
services on voterprotection issues or stepping up to do anything
the team needs
