KAEDAH PENTADBIRAN INSTRUMEN LITERASI MEMBACA

PERKARA KAEDAH PENTADBIRAN

Pentadbiran

Instrumen literasi membaca mengandungi 12 konstruk.

Instrumen ini ditadbir secara lisan secara berterusan semasa waktu Bahasa Inggeris.

Instrumen ini ditadbir secara individu atau kumpulan kecil tidak melebihi tiga orang murid serta mengikut kesediaan murid.

Instrumen ini ditadbir mengikut urutan konstruk.

Setelah kesemua konstruk ditaksir, pentaksir boleh mengulang mana-mana konstruk yang belum dikuasai oleh murid.

Murid boleh memberi respons secara mengeja dan membaca.

Dicadangkan murid duduk bersebelahan pentaksir ketika pentaksiran dilaksanakan.

Pentadbiran instrumen ini haruslah dilakukan secara telus dan jujur.

Kesemua konstruk hendaklah ditaksir dalam tempoh yang ditetapkan.

Setiap konstruk yang disaring hendaklah diisi dalam Borang Pelaporan Penguasaan Individu (BPPI).

Penggunaan Manual

Manual Literasi Membaca ini perlu dirujuk oleh pentaksir.

Manual ini merupakan panduan mentaksir 12 konstruk Literasi Membaca dan skema jawapan disertakan.

Pentaksir hendaklah membaca manual ini dengan teliti dan memahaminya sebelum mentadbir instrumen.

Cara Mengisi Borang Pelaporan Penguasaan Individu (BPPI)

Pentaksir perlu melengkapkan BPPI dengan nama murid, kelas dan tahun.

Pentaksir perlu mencatat penguasaan murid bagi setiap konstruk pada ruang yang disediakan.

Pada akhir tahun BPPI yang telah lengkap diisi hendaklah disimpan dalam fail peribadi murid untuk tujuan rujukan.

BPPI hendaklah dibekalkan kepada murid yang berpindah.

Tahap penguasaan minimum bagi Literasi Membaca dan Menulis adalah seperti berikut:

Penetapan Murid ke Program LINUS2.0 atau Arus Perdana

Penguasaan konstruk dalam kedua-dua literasi membaca dan menulis diambilkira bagi menentukan sama ada murid memasuki Program LINUS2.0 atau mengikuti Arus Perdana.

Murid yang memasuki Program LINUS2.0 o Tidak menguasai mana-mana konstruk 1 hingga konstruk 12.

C2: Able to associate sounds with the letters of the alphabet. Explanation: The ability to identify letters in association to sounds.

objects in the pictures.

2. Teachers may use these questions to guide the pupil:

a. What is this? b. What is the first sound that you hear when you say the word?

Pupil writes the letters according to the initial sounds correctly. Answers:

C3: Able to blend phonemes into recognisable words. Explanation: The ability to rearrange letters and write in neat legible print.

1. Teacher asks pupil to rearrange the

letters to form words based on the pictures given.

2. Teacher may guide by saying the word aloud as long as the pupil spells the word on their own correctly.

the correct words based on the pictures given.

Answers: 1. box 2. house 3. book Note: This item carries 4 marks. Pupil needs to get a mininum score of 3 out of 4 to pass this construct.

C4: Able to segment words into phonemes. Explanation: The ability to spell simple words correctly.

1. Teacher asks pupil to spell the words

based on the pictures given.

2. Teacher may guide by saying the word aloud as long as the pupil spells the word on their own correctly.

the pictures given. Answers: 1. ink

Note: This item carries 3 marks. Pupil needs to get a mininum score of 2 out of 3 to pass this construct.

C5: Able to understand and use the language at word level. Explanation: Ability to understand and use the language at word level.

1. Teacher asks the pupil to read and fill in

the blanks correctly with the given words.

2. Teacher may guide by reading aloud the words given.

1. Pupil reads the sentences and fills in the

blanks with the correct answers. Answers: Happy birthday to you. We love you

always.

C6: Able to participate in daily conversations using appropriate phrases. Explanation: Ability to participate in daily conversations using appropriate phrases.

1. Teacher asks pupil to read and fill in the

blanks with the correct answers.

2. Teacher provides guidance by reading the sentences in the stimulus aloud.

1. Pupil reads the sentences and writes the

correct answers. Answers: Dinesh: What is your sister’s name? Jeffry : My sister’s name is Sara. Dinesh: How old is she? Jeffry : She is ten years old. Dinesh: What does she love to do? Jeffry :She loves gardening / to garden. Dinesh: What does she do every evening? Jeffry :She waters plants. Note: This item carries 3 marks. Pupil needs to get a mininum score of 2 out of 3 to pass this construct.

C7: Able to understand and use the language at phrase level in linear texts. Explanation: The ability to understand and use the language at phrase level in linear texts.

1. Teacher asks pupil to look at the

pictures given and fill in the blanks with the correct phrases.

2. Teacher may guide the pupil to read the information given.

Pupil fills in the blanks with information stated above. Answers: He has a neighbour, Alim. Alim invited Kudin for dinner. Kudin arrived late for dinner. There was no more food. Note: This item carries 4 marks. Pupil needs to get a mininum score of 3 out of 4 to pass this construct.

C8: Able to understand and use the language at phrase level in non-linear texts. Explanation: The ability to understand and use the language at phrase level in non-linear texts.

1. Teacher guides the pupil to read the phrases and write the correct phrases based on the pictures given. 2.Teacher may prompt the pupil by asking questions based on the pictures.

Pupil fill in the blanks with the correct phrases. Answer:

3. pretty girl Note: This item carries 3 marks. Pupil needs to get a mininum score of 2 out of 3 to pass this construct.

C9: Able to read and understand sentences. Explanation: The ability to read sentences with guidance.

1. Teacher guides the pupil to write the sentences with correct punctuation (capital letters and full stop ‘.”). 2. Teacher may guide by providing an example to ensure that the instruction is clear. Teacher may use this example: she has a hat

Pupil writes the sentences with correct punctuation (capital letters and full stop ‘.”). Answers:

1. Kamal is flying a kite. 2. Jamal is sleeping on a bed.

3. The monkey is eating a banana.

Note: This item carries 3 marks. Each sentence carries 1 mark. Pupil needs to get a mininum score of 2 out of 3 to pass this construct.

C10: Able to understand and use the language at sentence level in non-linear texts. Explanation: The ability to read sentences and match to pictures given.

1. Teacher asks the pupil to read and write

the sentences correctly based on the pictures given.

2. Teacher may guide by reading aloud the sentences given.

Pupil writes the correct sentences based on the given picture. Answer.

1. Diana baked a cake.

2. The rabbit eats a carrot.

3. Latha plays computer games.

4. Kamal brushes his teeth.

C11: Able to understand and use the language at paragraph level in linear texts. Explanation: The ability to read and understand sentences in a paragraph.

1. Teacher asks pupil to read the sentences and answer the questions.

2. Teacher may read the paragraph aloud with the pupil.

Pupil reads the sentences in the paragraph and writes the correct answers to the questions. Answers: Animal: rooster Sound: crows / crowing Food: maize Note: This item carries 3 marks. Pupil needs to get a mininum score of 2 out of 3 to pass this construct.

C12: Able to construct sentences with guidance. Explanation: The ability to string words given into sentences and read them aloud.

1. Teacher guides the pupil to read the

words and phrases given.

2. Teacher may use the picture to prompt.

Pupil constructs sentences by rearranging the words and phrases correctly. Answers:

1. Father is telling a story.

2. The eggs are in the basket.

3. Azman likes to eat ice cream..
