advanced driver-assistive technology to help you do just that. On the Touring trim,

there’s the Blind Spot Information (BSI) system1, which is designed to notify you

using indicator lights that flash when vehicles enter either blind spot. You can also

get a better look at what’s behind you with the expanded view driver’s mirror,

Vehicle Stability Assist (VSA®) with Traction Control

Vehicle Stability Assist1 with Traction

Control is designed to sense and help

correct oversteer and understeer scenarios

to enhance handling and cornering stability,

while Traction Control is designed to

minimize wheel spin when accelerating on

loose or slippery surfaces, helping to inspire

greater driver confidence.

Controlled braking

To assist with safe stopping, the 4-wheel

Anti-lock Braking System1 (ABS) is designed

to help you maintain control under hard

braking conditions, while Electronic Brake-

force Distribution (EBD) helps to optimize

braking power based on weight distribution

inside the vehicle. In addition, Brake Assist

is engineered to help improve braking

performance by applying brake pressure

when a panic stop is detected.

Child safety features

Standard Lower Anchors and Tethers for

Children (LATCH) offer three secure child-

seat restraint positions in the second row

on SE trims and above (two on LX), while

the third row has two positions on all trims.

This adds up to the Odyssey having room

for as many as five child seats, more than

any other minivan.3 The Odyssey also

features childproof rear door locks.

Pedestrian safety

Innovative pedestrian safety features

include an energy-absorbing hood and

front fenders and deformable wiper pivots.

Forward Collision Warning (FCW) system

The available Forward Collision Warning

system1 is designed to detect the presence

of vehicles in front of you and issue alerts

if you’re approaching with too much speed.

Six standard airbags

The cabin of the Odyssey contains six

standard airbags. It features dual-stage,

multiple-threshold front airbags as well as

three-row side curtain airbags with rollover

sensor system, which are designed to

deploy the side curtain airbags in the event

of a rollover. Plus, it has Smartvent™ side

airbags, which are designed to deploy in

a manner that mitigates the risk of injury

to out-of-position or smaller occupants.

Seat belt safety

The Odyssey helps prepare you for the

unexpected with 3-point height-adjustable

front seat belts with automatic tensioning

system and 3-point rear seat belts in the

second and third rows.

Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS)

To promote enhanced safety

and fuel efficiency, the Tire

Pressure Monitoring System2 

continually checks the air pressure

in each tire. If pressure drops in

any one tire, the driver receives

a dashboard alert.

Lane Departure Warning (LDW) system

The available Lane Departure Warning

lane position and alert you when your
