S/S 2014 TREND REPORT

SPRING/SUMMER 2014 TREND REPORTBeing associated with the fashion industry in any form like journalism, designing, merchandising,

marketing and styling; it is vital to be updated with the latest fashion trends.Thus, as a part of my project in order to create a double spread fashion trend report identifying

any three major trends for Spring/ Summer 2014 out of the enormous list of emerging trends for thesame; I began to research on all the catwalk shows from the 4 fashion capitals: London, Milan, NewYork and Paris showcased in September/October 2013. The purpose of my this extensive research oneach of the designers showcasing their collection at the catwalk shows in these 4 fashion capitals wasto be able to create a list of emerging trends for S/S 2014 and then further shortlist the 3 trends whichwould be a part of my double spread S/S 2014 Trend Report.

After listing the various emerging fashion trends for S/S 2014; I then did a detailed research on4 major trends and then further narrowed it down to 3 trends which I would use in my trend report.Apart from using catwalk images, I even used images from magazines, street style and my own stylingas well as words in order to explain and show my viewers how these trends are incorporated in ourdaily lifestyle.

Having completed my research, I chose my 3 major trends for the double spread S/S 2014 trendreport to be : Leather, Prints and Monochrome.

Furthermore, I went ahead to create my double spread S/S 2014 trend report using my AdobePhotoshop skills in order to create an interesting visual trend report to enable my viewers to understandand interpret the upcoming trends.

During the course of this project, I acquired knowledge about the importance of being up to datewith fashion trends in order to survive in the fashion world along with understanding how trend reportsare created in fashion publication houses with their sole purpose being to educate its readers about thelatest upcoming trends in addition to providing certain styling tips.

All white seems to bemassive in Spring Summer2014.!! A lot of designershave used all white in theircollection but each has adifferent style as some teamall white with bright lipswhile some give a naturallook with minimalistic makeup.

I personally like this trendas it is the trend which notonly allows a person toremain simple yetsophisticated and refine..No one can ever go wrongwith all white so when indoubt just wear white!!
