Subject: Tender for Insurance of fixed assets at STPI-Bangalore
& sub centers - reg.
Software Technology Parks of India - Bangalore, an autonomous
society under
Department of Electronics and IT, Ministry of Communications
& Information Technology,
Go vt. of India, invites tenders for Insurance Premium Policy
for fixed assets under
Two year contract in single bid system as per the terms and
conditions specified
below:
The bill of quantity is in Annexure A

3. DOCUMENTATION:
a. The under writers will issue the premium receipt and the
cover note for the desiredcoverage immediately on receipt of the
premium by them.
b. The corresponding policy documents shall be issued to
STPI-Bangalore within fiveworking days of the receipt of
premium.
c. Any amendment of the policies shall be confirmed by issuing
endorsement with infive working days of the receipt of the
necessary information / premium from
STPI-Bangalore.
4. INSURANCE PREMIUM
a) The insurance premium payable is as per the price schedule
and is inclusive of all
taxes & duties. The premium amount shall remain firm during
the insurance
period of the policy.
b) The total premium shall be paid by STPI-Bangalore, However,
insurance
company shall provide premium bills in the form of Cenvatable
Invoice based on
the sum insured for availing the cenvat credit of service tax by
STPI-
Bangalore.
c) The bidder should enclose the declaration as per the format
given in
AnnexureI.
d) The bidders are required to quote the premium rates strictly
as per IRDA tariff
provisions and violation/breach of IRDA tariff provisions will
not be

(c) If the cover is not sealed and marked properly as above,
STPI will not take any
responsibility for its misplacement, premature opening etc. The
Envelope should
be dropped in the Tender Box of the STPI at Reception in the
above address
latest by14.30 hrs on 23.07.2013.
(d) The bidder shall give the total composite price inclusive of
all levies andtaxes. The offer shall be in Indian Rupees only.
Rates shall be quoted in words
and figures.Theamount to be worked out to whole number.
6. GENERALTERMS & CONDITIONS:
1) The tender documents shall be treated as confidential.
2) Bidder should enclose the following:
- Certificate of Registration of the company.
- Copy of PAN card.- Copy of service tax registration.
- Copy of the IT returns, P&L account and balance sheet.3)
The rate of Service Tax prevalent on the date of tender, should be
clearly
indicated in the tender itself, if its not mentioned, it will be
treated as
inclusive.
4) Tenders should be free from correction and erasures.
Corrections if anyshould be attested,
5) Bid validity shall be for 120 days,6) More than one bid shall
not be accepted from one party,
7) Income tax etc will be recovered at the prevailing rate

8. OPENING OF BIDS:
Bids will be opened on 23.07.2013 at 15.30 hrs in our Office
located at Cyber Park, No.
76&77 , 6thFloor, Electronic City, Hosur Road, Bangalore
-560100. All the bidders to
be present for the bid opening. Bid Opening Register will be
maintained and the
bidders who are presentneed to sign the register.
9. PURCHASER'S RIGHT TO ACCEPT OR REJECT ANY OR ALL BIDS: The
Purchaserreserves the right to accept or reject any bid, and to
annul the bidding process andreject all bids, at any time prior to
award of contract without assigning any reason
whatsoever and without thereby incurring any liability to the
affected bidder orbidders on
the grounds for the Purchaser's action. Any deviations /
irrelevant specifications in this
tender will not be accepted.
Final decision of accepting or rejecting any/all bid(s) will be
at the discretion of
STPI
9. CLARIFICATION OF BID DOCUMENTS BY STPI:
To assist in the examination, evaluation and comparison of bids
the Purchaser may, at
its discretion ask the bidder for the clarification of its bid.
The request for clarification an d
the re s po ns e s h a l l b e i n w r i t i n g . However, n o
p o s t b id clarification at the
initiativeof the bidder shall be entertained after opening of
the tender.

16. Clarification of bid documents by the contractor a
prospective bidder requiring anyclarification of bid document shall
notify STPI-Bangalorein writing or by FAX at STPI mailingaddress or

080-28521161within 15 days from the issue of tender notice.

ANNEXURE -I
Declaration:
It is hereby certified that the quotations given by us against
Tender No. STPIB/ADMIN
/INFRA/INSURANCE/ 2013/ 14/16 dated 03.07.2013 are as per IRDA
provisions and that there is
no violation of the IRDA provisions whatsoever. In case of any
violation of the tariffprovisions by
the insurance company, in the quotation, STPI-Bangalore would
not be liable for any differential
premium in any case. Also there would be no effect on the
settlement of the claims, However,
in case there is any downward movement of the tariff provisions,
which are applicable to
STPI- Bangalore, the insurance company would ensure that the
same is passed on to STPI-
Bangalore.
