Log houses in Finland have become widely recognised for centuries as the most ecological and healthy way of living and people fromoutside of Finland are also now becoming more aware of these advantages.

A FINNBÄR log house is the perfect home for people with allergies and those who want to live in a clean and dust free environment.The wood we use is Nordic pine (pinus sylvestris) from the forests of Finland. We use Plusforest, which produces more than is cut, andthe timber is harvested according to a strictly controlled regime. Although more than 80% of Finnish houses are constructed of wood andthere is a rapidly increasing export market, the forests are so well managed that they are actually increasing, making the wood a trulysustainable product. From these same forests one can pick berries and mushrooms and bears also still roam the freedom of our forests.

Production is carried out using the latest technology for all processes with all procedures in the factory being completely computerisedto ensure the maintenance of the highest standards of quality and to minimise errors.

We can provide square or round log wall profiles.

FINNBÄR-MASSIVE, a log cut from a single piece of solid timber, for customers who most appreciate the beauty and natural qualityof the wood.

FINNBÄR-LAMINATED, a log glued from 2 or more pieces giving the best result for the most demanding of customers. The log doesnot crack and the settling down is minimal.

FINNBÄR windows and doors meet the highest European standards and perfectly complement the atmosphere of the house. Floorcoverings and other decorative materials can be supplied according to the individual requirements of each customer. Fireplaces,saunas and all other requirements can also be included in the delivery.

Every house is made to conform to customers’ wishes. We have house plans on the Internet and a few also in this catalogue, to giveyou an ideas of the design possibilities. If a suitable plan for you cannot be found from our designs, we can plan a house to your personalspecifications and needs.

We offer to our customers a service you do not want to miss - a 3D-modelling service that allows customers to see their house as a visualimage from both outside and inside before making a purchase decision. You can even choose your own colours for the house. Thisservice is free!
