WE LONG TO SEE GOD’S FACE
“Lord, this is the people that longs to see your face.” This antiphon for today’s responsorial psalm offers the focus for
today’s readings. As we on earth celebrate the triumph of all the
saints—the ones officially canon-
ized by the Church, and the count-less others who have also reached
heaven—we add nothing to their glory. But we give ourselves rea-
son to hope. We too long to see
the face of God and believe that we can one day be counted among
those whose robes, as John tells us in the book of Revela-tion, are washed “white in the blood of the Lamb.”
The passage from John’s First Letter offers further assur-ance: we are God’s children who will one day see God. But
today’s Gospel pulls us past longing and reassurance into
action. Jesus clearly tells us what we must do to be counted among the saints. We must be poor in spirit, hungry for holi-
ness, merciful, single-hearted, and peacemakers! Then we too will see the face of God. Copyright © J. S. Paluch Co.

“Esta es la raza de los que buscan tu rostro Señor”. Esta antífona para el salmo responsorial de hoy brinda el tono de la lecturas de
hoy. Cuando en la tierra celebramos la victoria de todos los santos, de los que
están canonizados oficialmente por la
Iglesia y de los sinnúmero que también han llegado al cielo, no sumamos nada a
su gloria. Sino que recibimos un motivo más para tener esperanzas. Nosotros,
también, anhelamos ver el rostro de Dios
y creemos que un día podremos estar entre aquellos cuyas túnicas, como nos
dice Juan en el libro del Apocalipsis, han sido lavadas y blanqueadas “con la sangre del Cordero”.
El pasaje de la primera carta del apóstol San Juan nos garantiza que somos hijos de Dios y un día veremos a Dios tal cual es. Pero
el Evangelio de hoy nos hace pasar del anhelo y la certeza a la
acción. Jesús nos dice claramente qué debemos hacer para estar entre los santos. Debemos ser pobres de espíritu, misericordiosos,

Music Ministry Needs Your Voice
All of our choirs are in need of more singers. Each week three of our Masses should be led by choirs, but more often they are led by a only a few people. The following choirs need your help:
10 AM Mass – Primarily English language, rehearsals are Mondays at 6:30 in the church and Sunday before the Mass.
1 PM Spanish Mass – Spanish language, re-hearsals are Wednesdays at 6:30 in the choir room and Sunday before the Mass.
7 PM Mass – Bilingual, English dominant, re-hearsals are at 6:15 PM before the Mass in the Church.
We will also be upon the holidays very soon. There will be special choirs for Confirmation and the various Christmas Masses.
We often have people express disappointment that there are not more people in the choir, or that there is not a choir at the Christmas Eve midnight Mass, or not enough of a showing for Christmas Day or Easter Day choirs – maybe you are one of those people. Choirs can only come about through the participa-tion of volunteers within the faith community. Maybe you can consider what you are able to offer in the way of your time and talents? El Ministerio de Música Necesita su Voz
Todos nuestros coros están necesitando más cantantes. Cada se-mana, tres de nuestras Misas deben ser dirigidas por los coros, pero
más a menudo son dirigidas por sólo unas cuantas personas. Los siguientes coros necesitan su ayuda:
Misa de 10 am – Principalmente en idioma Inglés, los ensayos son los lunes a las 6:30 pm en la iglesia y el domingo antes de la Misa.
Misa de 1 PM en Español – Idioma Español, los ensayos son los miércoles a las 6:30 pm en la sala de coro y el domingo antes de la Misa.
Misa de 7:00 pm – Bilingüe, Inglés dominante, los ensayos son a las 6:15 pm antes de la Misa en la Iglesia.
También, muy pronto llegaremos a los días fes-tivos. Habrán coros especiales para la Confirmación y las diversas Misas de Navidad.
A menudo tenemos personas que expresan su decepción por que no haya más personas en el coro, o que no haya un coro en la Misa de Medianoche la víspera de Navidad, o que no haya suficientes coros el día de Navidad o el Día de la Pascua – tal vez usted es una de esas personas. Los Coros sólo pueden ocurrir a través de la par-ticipación de voluntarios dentro de la comunidad de fe. ¿Podrían usredes considerar lo que pueden ofrecer en cuanto a su tiempo y talentos? November, a time to remember those who have died … Noviembre, un mes para recordar a los que han fallecido …
Day of the Dead Altar In the Latino culture, All Souls Day is observed asT he Day of the Dead (Día de los Muertos). In their homes, family members honor their deceased with offerings (ofrendas) placed upon a small altar (altarcito).
Our parish includes this “home” tradition in our November environment. Parishioners are invited to bring pictures and symbols representing their deceased loved ones and place them on the altarcito in the front of the church.
Altarcia para el Día de los Muertos En la cultura Mexicana se celebra el Día de Todos los Santos como Día de los muertos. En las casas de sus familiares se les preparan ofrendas que se colocan en un pequeño altar o altarcito.
Nuestra parroquia incorpora esta tradición familiar en el mes de noviembre. Si desean pueden traer fo-tos y símbolos que representen a seres queridos que
han fallecido. De esta manera los podremos colocar en el altarcito situado en la parte del frente de la iglesia.
Diocese to Host Annual All Souls Day Masses
at Catholic Cemeteries
At 8:30 AM on Monday, 2 November, Mass will be celebrated at both Holy Hope Cemetery (3535 N. Oracle Rd.) and All Faiths Cemetery (2151 S. Avenida Los Reyes). All are invited to participate in either of these Masses.

Produce On Wheels – WithOut Waste (POW–WOW)
Our parish will be hosting a monthly Produce on Wheels – With Out Waste (POW–WOW) again this year. It will be held in our North Parking Lot on the 3rd Saturday of the month, beginning on 21 No-vember from 7 to 11 AM. For a $10 donation one can shop for up to 60 lbs of fresh produce.

Children in Kindergarten (5 years old) – 8th grade meet on Sundays from 11:15 AM until 12:45 PM. Students in 7th, 8th or 9th grade who have not celebrated First Reconciliation and/or First Eucharist also meet on Sundays at this time.
Preparation for sacraments of reconciliation and first communion is a two consecutive year process. The child must be in Second Grade or older. The child must be baptized and attend all catechetical sessions. The family must be registered at St. Cyril Parish.
Registration will open for classes again in January 2016.

Los niños desde Kinder hasta 8° grado se reúnen los domin-gos de 11:15 am hasta las 12:45 pm. Los alumnos de 7°, 8° o 9° grados que aún no han celebrado su Primera Reconciliación y/o Primera Eucaristía, también se reúnen los domingos a la misma hora.
La formación para los sacramentos de reconciliación y primera communion es un proceso consecutive de dos años. El
niño debe estar en Segundo Grado o en un Grado mayor. El niño debe estar bautizado y debe asistir a todal las clases de catequesis. La familia debe estar registrada en la Parroquia.

Most Holy Trinity (MHT) parish is looking for a few good men and women to assist with their signature social justice program – Soup Patrol – taking hot soup and hot chocolate to hungry men and women in downtown Tucson.
The program is active from 2 November until soon after Easter. If you would like to join us in this important ministry by volunteering to take food to the needy one night a month from 6 to 8 PM please contact Br.
