A workshop on "Web of science selection process" to Journals Editor

Atelier "processus de sélection du Web of Science" pour les éditeurs de revues

The IMIST-CNRST organized in partnership with the company Clarivate Analytics, publisher of the bibliographic database and quotes Web of Science (WOS), a workshop on "Web of science selection process" for the benefit of publishers of hosted journals and / or posted in the Portal of Moroccan Scientific Journals (PRSM: https://revues.imist.ma), and on March 13 and 14, 2019 in the CNRST conference room. Mohammed Essadaoui Responsible of the IMIST after having welcomed all the Moroccan publishers present Thursday, March 14, 2019. Knowing that the Portal gathers more than 130 journals of which 90 hosted and 40 reported to the portal.

L'IMIST-CNRST a organisé en partenariat avec la société Clarivate Analytics, éditeur de la base de données bibliographique et de citations Web of Science (WOS), un atelier sur "Web of science selection process" au profit des éditeurs des revues hébergées et/ou signalées dans le Portail des Revues Scientifiques Marocaines (PRSM : https://revues.imist.ma), et ce, le 13 et 14 mars 2019 à la salle des conférences du CNRST. Mohammed Essadaoui Responsable de l’IMIST après avoir souhaité le bienvenu à tous les éditeurs Marocains présents le Jeudi 14 Mars 2019. Sachant que le Portail regroupe plus de 130 revues dont 90 hébergées et 40 signalées au portail.

As publisher of the first Moroccan journal (Moroccan Journal of Chemistry) indexed to both WoS and Scopus; I would like to express my heartfelt thanks to all CNRST-IMIST members who serve Moroccan and foreign researchers through the different services and support the support of publishers. Mehdi LAGHZAOUI informed the participants about the new product : Arabic Citation Index (ARCI) as the first local language citation index for the Arabic World ARCI as the the interface in arabic of Web of Science founded by Egyptian Knowledge Bank (EKB), Ministary of education to attain Scientific Excellency (2030 vision)

Dr. CAHUE emphasized the essential criteria for selecting Journals since the constitution of the journal (Title, Editorial Members) and process since receipt of articles, selection of reviewers, revisions, verification and publication without or with load of editing.

Dr CAHUE a mis l’accent sur les critères essentiels pour sélectionner les journaux depuis la constitution du journal (Titre, Membres de l’éditorial) et processus depuis la réception des articles, choix des examinateurs, les révisions, vérification et publication sans ou avec charge de l’édition.



We are happy to see some journals indexed by Web of Science and that the Moroccan machine through research teams in different institutions are seeing their journals or Bulletins positioned among their counterparts internationally. We congratulate all our colleagues (Editors, Assistant-Editors, Members, reviewers and IMIST Team) for their efforts and the time they have spent to make this success a success,

In the end, Dr. Cahue gave as an example the Moroccan Journal of Chemistry founded in 2013 and indexed in WoS since 2016 and Scopus from 2018. I take the opportunity to congratulate Professor Ahmed Chetouani, CREMEF, Oujda for monitoring and heavy task during these years to serve the scientific community.

A la fin, Dr Cahue a donné comme exemple le Journal Marocain de Chimie fondé en 2013 et indexé en WoS depuis 2016 et Scopus à partir de 2018. Je profite de l'occasion de féliciter M. Le Professeur Ahmed Chetouani, CREMEF, Oujda pour le suivi et la tache lourde durant ces années pour servir la communauté scientifique.


My Congratulations are also to IMIST team for hosting as well as several updates to highlight the Portal of Moroccan Scientific Journals (PRSM). While highlighting the quality of the Journal, she mentioned that MJC suffers from citations to increase its Impact Factor. Our Moroccan and World Researchers friends are invited to quote our Journals by citing them in their articles to come
